We stayed in an oceanfront room for five nights and loved it. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room, and there was even a monk seal on the beach on our first day. The location is great, right on the bike path and walkable to shops and restaurants. The staff are so wonderful and friendly. The breakfast is pretty basic, toast and granola, but the homemade banana bread and sticky rice was amazing. Would highly recommend and hope to come back!

Long story short, we entered the hotel reservation office around 9 pm looking for a place to stay. We were greatly relieved there were rooms available. Pall and Jenny were friendly and greeted us warmly. Our room was on the 2nd floor and we had a spectacular view of the ocean. The room was clean, it had air conditioning, and free wi-fi. The garden tub was dated and could use an update. The hotel itself is centrally located in Kapaa with several points of interest within a few miles drive. There is a five mile pedestrian/bicycle trail between the hotel and the beach. Free use of bikes, first come, first serve. The free breakfast included coffee, 2 kind of juice, yogurt cups, granola, donut holes, and banana bread, if Peggy Sue makes it in. Overall, if you like quaint, intimate, and no frills, this is the perfect spot. We would not hesitate to book with them again.

My son and I stayed here for four nights at the end of April/beginning of May. Our stay was enjoyable and here is the list of pros and cons:

Pros:

great location. The property is beachfront with the public walking/bike path right outside.

Friendly staff. The entire staff was consistently friendly and clearly enjoyed being at work.

Wifi. Individual routers in each room was really appreciated. When planning activities or streaming at night good wifi is a must.

Cons: The breakfast could be expanded. I would pay a little more in order that a full breakfast in a breakfast room (as opposed to toast and cereal in the lobby) could be provided. I travelled with my teenage son and more food was needed. The restaurants across the street worked fine but take some time as we encountered line ups

Room upgrades: we saw the rooms on the third floor and they were modern and well appointed. The rest of the property needs some refreshing particularly the bathrooms. Our room had an old jacuzzi tub which should be removed and a fully tiled shower installed in its place.

Stayed here for 1 night before going to our condo. We arrived late but management left us a key with instructions on how to get to our room. The room has everything you need. Next morning we came down to have breakfast. They have this amazing banana bread made fresh daily. Also I loved the juice they served. We were told it was a mix of passion, orange and guava. They make their own coffee blend, delicious! What a view, wow! Walked on the beach, it is very beautiful. We loved the chickens and roosters walking around the property. Had great conversation with the family running this place, I hope we will be back. Thank you so much!

The hotel is managed by a local family who take pride in their beautiful Island. The Aloha spirit is truly alive here.. It is hard to hold on to any worries when you meet Auntie Sue who has a way to make anyone smile or laugh. The hotel owners really lucked out to have such good people running the property for them. It is their genuine friendliness and desire to fulfill your needs, that makes you feel right at home. There are lots of services and amenities offered free of charge to their guests, that you would pay for extra somewhere else.. The size of the hotel has the right balance between private and personal.
My personal thanks to PalI for his recommendations of special places on the island, and to the manager Alicia and her friendly staff.
