“Hole in the wall type restaurant where the locals go”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Here's a diamond in the rough. Hidden away in the Kapa'a Product Marketplace is this gem serving healthy food at a reasonable price. I had a superior tuna fish sandwich - freshly made albacore tuna mixed with chopped crisp apple and a light touch of mayonnaise, topped with a thick layer of tomato, thinly sliced red onion, cheese on a perfectly toasted warm torta roll. This with a glass of milk was less than $10. There is both indoor and outdoor seating screened from the highway and neighboring shops, the kitchen is open 5 AM to 2 PM for breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is open until 5 PM for coffee and snacks. They offer a long list of tea selections - all brewed with loose tea, excellent coffee, chai, smoothies, baked items not overly sugared. This is a great find in Kaua'i.

“Great local coffee shop!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

When I travel I love visiting local coffee shops and this one was spot on! Great coffee, atmosphere, and food and really nice people! We also got sandwiches to go one morning and they were delicious! We stopped here at some point every day while we were in Kapaa. Highly recommend!

“This is your Local Coffee shop/hang...”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Great location near the beach, lots of room to drink coffee & chat both indoors and outdoors. Only complaints is that it closes too early (by 5pm! - most custom being in the morning, but I believe it would probably do business in the evenings IF it were open other than for the occasional Open Mic night or special show) AND that they're frequently out of brew-of-the-day & all food long before 5pm. If they would pace the place to be an evening venue as well, it would get an 'excellent' rating.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I've considered opening later at this location but I'm not sure the Kauai market would support it. We were open tip 9 at our old place for a couple years and it was real hard. I like to hit it hard in the morning and leave late night stuff to other local businesses. Glad you had a good time!

“local hangoiut (but friendly)”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Even though they moved a couple of doors down from their original location a couple of years ago, the atmosphere---and the coffee---at this laid-back spot favored by locals and regular Kapaa visitors is a great place to sip a great cup of joe and look at the ocean. The staff is friendly and funny---decor is eclectic to say the least, prominently displaying a wall clock where each of the numbers is pasted over with a piece of paper reading "now..."
