My husband and myself planned an extended family stay on Kauai. After many months of reading reviews and doing extensive research we choose to stay at Waipouli Beach Resort.
I have to tell you WBR did not fail us at all. Front desk services was amazing(Tracie), Oasis bar and restaurant was delicious! Our 2 bedroom condos with various views superseded our expectations. This place is home away from home.
I would love to own one of these units some day.

After staying at 2 prior places with no pools or hot tubs we chose to stay here for our last 4 nights of our vacation and really enjoyed it! We had a ground floor one-bedroom condo in G Building and liked being close to the ocean as I love slipping out at predawn to get sunrise photos. The unit was so spacious and more than we needed but we enjoyed everything! Well stocked kitchen, laundry in the condo, a large bathroom with jetted tub and a half bath that was connected to the main bathroom. The bed was very comfy and felt so luxurious after the beach house we had just been in. The weather was cool the days we were there so we very much appreciated the hot tubs - and loved the sandy bottoms and the pool with slides (never too old for those!). Enjoyed the ocean views and convenience of the Oasis restaurant our first night there - and it's tiki torches and live music one night. The location was great for us as we had activities planned in Lihue and seeing the North Shore (we had already stayed on the South Shore ). Shopping Plaza across the street was convenient for grocery and others needs and we liked being able to walk to Kenji Burgers next door and loved their food! We'd definitely stay here again, especially if we came with family.
This was our first time to Kauai and we really liked the resort. We were shocked that they had such high end appliances in the unit including a subzero fridge and wolf stove & oven...very nice layout with lots of space. It was also very clean.
The lazy river, pool, and hot tub were really nice. The workout room, although somewhat small, had a wide variety of equipment for all workout styles these days.
We spent time in Poipu and in Princeville and Kapaa is centrally located to go to both areas. There were also a lot of fun hikes near Kapaa that we enjoyed.
I can not think of one negative thing to say about our stay at Waipouli. The resort is just beautiful and our condo was amazing! Everything was clean and perfect when we arrived. The only thing that I would say is a bummer, is that they charge a $20 resort fee daily plus a $275 cleaning charge for a 2-bedroom unit. We thought that was a little excessive. But with that said, it is a beautiful resort in just a wonderful location in Kauai.
Total dive with horrible service and major bad attitude from the reception staff lady. Beware this place will ruin your Hawaii vacation. They tried to scam us by taking our vouchers for two rooms and claimed they only had one room available.
Stayed in a 1 bedroom unit over the Christmas holidays in G building. Location in Kauai is excellent....good, not-too-far distance from the airport. Units have air conditioning (many accommodations in Kauai do not). Quiet location...even don't hear the Kauai chickens that much in the morning. Walked around the pool area in the evening and it was surprisingly very quiet...especially during the Christmas holiday time. Close to shopping (across the street) and restaurants.
We arrived late so called security from the lobby phone who quickly came out into the lobby and gave us the temporary code to get into our room as they don't have a 24 hour front desk. Checked in with reception the next day and received permanent code for our stay.
Room was very spacious and well appointed. Kitchen was modern and everything looked new and in good working order. Full size washer/dryer was very nice. 2 connecting bathrooms, accessible from the separate bedroom and entrance area. Had a tub and a standalone shower and 2 toilets.
Pool area is lovely. Great area for kids.
Did not purchase daily housekeeping. Just used the washer/dryer to clean/dry the towels and our clothes and it was perfectly fine.
Perfect for family vacations. Would definitely stay here again when I return and I highly recommend.
