“Wonderful condo(s)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2014

We were moved here when our Princeville condo developed plumbing problems before our arrival. Two agencies, Evolve Vacation Rentals and Kauai Exclusive Mangagement worked together to find us housing in this beautiful resort. Both are highly recommended for their professionalism, problem solving ability and willingness to work with us to get such wonderful condos on short notice (4 days) in high season.
The resort and the condo(s) (we had to move mid way in our stay...a small price to pay) are beautiful, well maintained and close to shopping and sightseeing. A recommended location if it is your first visit to Kauai because you can drive north and south from here for easy day trips. Did not try on-site restaurant. Recommended highly

Stayed in a ocean front room for 10 nights and the views were by far the nicest ocean front we have seen. The condo at first glance was extremely well cared for and beautiful but as we started "living in it"there were a few issues ,the pull out sofa was super bad....and I am talking we needed to use the pillows from the couch to line the mattress with so my daughter could sleep on it.Our bed was sloping or broken in the middle not exactly sure how to describe it..but it was uncomfortable. We booked through the outrigger and the staff were just ok...i had extended our stay by 3 days and was looking for a price confirmation and the lady at the front desk started arguing with me and telling me I couldn't have got that price...I wasn't impressed, but the manager straightened it out.The pool is beautiful...but our views from our room made this place...

Excellent pool. There are places for little kids to play, and a kids hot tub (not as hot). The restaurant it ok, but slow and pricey. We learned that housekeeping wasn't included in our rate, however we could pay a lot more to have it. So we washed our own towels etc. Full kitchen, which was great to make our own meals. Right on the beach.

We booked two condos for 8 people. I stayed in this one, and it was very similar to the other.

This condo has a parking lot view. Who cares you are Hawaii your not going to be in the room much. The inside if the condo was amazing. It's fully stocked it all the kitchen it utensils you need to cook almost any meal. The beds were great.

There is a washer and dryer and laundry detergent. This was great because we came home with clean clothes rather than a bunch if dirty clothes.

A couple of negatives (but not on this specific condo) the gym needs some sort of ventilation because it is hot in there. There are two grills for your use but the grill don't work very well and should be replaced.

Just got back. Very nice property and quite satisfied with our stay. Some minor issues that you may care about:

- Ocean View room so-so. Our room (H building, 2nd floor) was perpendicular to beach so at an angle. The hand rails on the lanai are slightly taller than they should be so block view at seated height (not a safety thing since they have horizontal bars that act as steps - warning for little kids), then beach trees are left wild/unmaintained which while nice and natural, blocks view (still saw plenty of whales). Picture included for reference. (Plus side, this building was 50 steps to beach and was mostly quiet).

- Room config: Nice, modern and pretty spacious (2 bed/3 bath) but also weird. Hard to explain but doors in some weird spots, not enough outlets in bedrooms, largest tub in smaller bedroom (Jacuzzi tubs - non jetted though), etc. Not bad - just different.

- Ants. Somewhat inevitable but wish they would have left a note about them and had more sealable containers. Lost several grocery items (breads, muffins, etc.) our first night not realizing we had to seal things or store in frig.

- Condo supplies. Good stock but not like a vrbo condo - missing a few things you might need: a couple of sheets of tinfoil, salt/pepper, coffee filters (standard, not cone), etc. Would bring with you if you can.

Nitpicks though. All in all, a very nice place and had a nice time.

Stayed here with another couple. The room itself was excellent. We were given room D103 which was ground floor right by the lobby and was supposed to have a "partial ocean view". If you stood on a step stool by the sliding glass door you might get a glimpse! I would definitely recommend getting a room up at least one floor from the ground level.

The property has a nice pool. Lots of kids playing - which is nice. Safeway is just across the street so easy access to groceries.

We were disappointed with the beach at this property which is definitely limited to just the length of the property and is not suitable to play in or use. They don't even have a foot washing station which tells me that nobody goes in the ocean and there isn't even enough room for a decent beach walk.

When you are back in the pool area of this property it is pleasant - but step out front and it is a busy road and commercial area.

No room or cleaning service during our one week stay without paying a cleaning fee of $80 - not even fresh towels (other than pool towels!) Also be aware that you will be charged a $60 cleaning fee (for 2 bedroom unit) when you leave!

Room Tip: Get up from the ground floor at least one level!

"DELUXE" in every sense of the word! When looking for a place to stay in Kaua'i, I searched and viewed every renting agency, public and private, and when I found the Waipouli Beach condominiums, the rate was unbelievable and a great surprise for this A1 condition condo. Too wonderful and beautiful to be true, but it is true and exactly as shown on the pictures . You can see by yourself when you view the site. Everything is exactly as you see it, perfect. Everything in this condo is the best, a kitchen equipped with luxury, big and small apparatus, as everything in the drawers. Their beds are so comfortable that you'll want to change yours when you get back home. Ensuite bathrooms, washer & dryer, like the rest are the best. Outside the condo is the same, comfort, luxury and beautiful all over from the parking to the beach. The outside common place is beautiful with a circular pool, jacuzzi, two water slides for the kids and adults, outside BarBQ, restaurant, etc. The location in Kapaa is right where you'll want to be, as it is middle of every place you want to visit. At the most a few hours, you are South, North and West for visiting all the best sites in Kaua'i. The view from this unit is on the mountain side and there is a shopping center on the other side of the street and you get to take advantage of all what Waipouli Beach Resort has to offer, plus it’s location in Kaua'i. The rate is much lower than you would expect, probably because of the Mountain side location. If you want to have a better view, you have to expect to pay more and pay for the view. We stayed there one full week, 4 of us, and we appreciated our stay as the best place we stayed on the 3 islands of the Hawaiian Islands that we have visited. Hope to be back there soon.
