“nice place for lunch”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

The place looks like a bar and grill atmosphere but we were surprised at the quality of the food and presentation, very nice.
The waitress was excellent. The place is nothing to brag about as far as location but it is a nice place to stop for good food and decent service.

“Don't waste your time”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

We only went here ,because we got a buy one dinner get one free when we booked a heli tour.this dinner cost more then any other place that we had dinner at in the two weeks we were on the island.it is a lot of money for some dry fish ,we would have had a better dinner if we went up the street two block more to food land and picked up some frozen fish sticks they would have been a lot better then this place! The staff was not friendly ,and the view of an over grown field isn't so nice.like I said before don't waste your time here.

“Overpriced seafood, goats are entertaining!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

Located next to the former royal coconut grove, this restaurant doesn't gave a great view. The food and drinks were good, but I've had just as good in other places for less. The staff was nice and attentive. The best part was the goats who are placed in the coconut grove to keep down the weeds; they beg for food!

“Great place for seafood in Kapaa”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Sunday 9/01/13

Shelly and I tried Wahoo which is across the street from the Courtyard at Coconut Beach where we were staying. I read the ratings on tripadvisor and I can't understand why is was rated as low as it was.

We walked into the restaurant and were promptly greeted and seated. You have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating and we sat sat outside Our servers, Treston and Zavier were fast, friendly and knowledgeable.

We both ordered the
VOLCANO SPICED WALU (SEABASS)
Seasoned and seared on the grill, served over mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and spinach in a pesto cream with an order of garlic bread.

While waiting for our meal, Treston brought us a complimentary Pupu (Hawaiian for apetizer) of edamame. Our order arrived and it was a visual delight as the chef believes in presentation. The chef stacked the seabass on top of mashed potatos surrounded by spinach. There was an herb sprig of on top of the fish to look like an erupting volcano. The seasoning was very tasty.

Would we come back? a definite YES

“Good jazz, good drinks”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We liked the jazz, though it wasn't great (about on par with a good college jazz group), and the drinks were good, but didn't blow us away (how can drinks really be much more than good?) We were disappointed that jazz ended so early -- 9PM and on a Thursday night. We didn't try the food, but the prices seemed moderate when considering comparable restaurants on this somewhat pricey island. We'd go back -- only earlier next time.
