I returned to Kapaa this past January for the 2nd time in 8 months, and chose Waipouli Beach Resort, Unit E105, so I could share the Island with my kids. I knew they would love the beautiful pools and landscaping of Waipouli, and it's private beach area right in front of the resort property. And, what a perfect Kauai location...situated right next to the Kauai Bike Path, we were able to jump on the bikes each day from this beautiful ground-floor Condo, and instantly be a part of the laid-back Kapaa scene. It sits just down the street from the great coffee shop, Java Kai, and all the cool shops and restaurants that you will find in Kapaa. We especially loved the restaurant, "Sam's On The Beach", for their great food and drinks, and their great view of the Coconut Coast. Sam's is the right distance from Kealia Beach (beautiful and secluded), and therefore, a natural stop for lunch and re-hydration on the way back to town. But, the beautiful Waipouli Resort was at the center of our vacation, and our Condo with it's fully equipped kitchen and top-end appliances was absolutely perfect for us. I knew from my previous trip that proximity to the Safeway store right across the street would be essential, and utilized often (go buy the fresh 'Ahi Poki' for $11.99 a pound at the fish counter). And lastly, the private, yet centralized location of Waipouli is the perfect locale to venture off to Poipu to the south, or Hanalei Bay and the Na-Pali Coast to the north. You will love this resort.
An amazing time in Kauai at the Waipouli Beach Resort, E105. The condo was exactly like we saw in the pictures and there were no surprises. The garden area was perfect for our family with young kids (1,5,8). The kids played soccer on the grass and loved watching the snails in the grass. The kitchen had everything we needed as far as dishes and cooking utensils. The rooms were great and we were thankful the second bedroom has 2 double beds as that made sleeping arrangements easy with 3 kids. The condo also came with a playpen for the baby and a high chair. They also supplied us with snorkel equipment, coolers, beach chairs, etc. which made our lives very easy. The towel people/ pool supervisors were a bit over cautious at the pool... Kids were having fun on the slides and they were quick to jump on them if they didn't leave enough time between people coming down. They also don't allow balls, pool noodles, etc. in the pool which I can understand why but our kids were disappointed. Over all I would totally recommend this unit and resort - we can't wait to return and rent this unit again!
