We booked two tickets to "The Complete History of America (abridged)" and in order to see the show we had to purchase the dinner theatre package for $77 or $99 (the later for VIP show tickets). The meal was served in The Palms Restaurant in the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel. The hotel is very dated as is the dining room. But, who cares, one comes for the meal and entertainment. The meal was poor: bordering on institutional. The only saving grace was our server: Ida. She was very pleasant and helpful. Thanks Ida.
As poor as the meal was, the show is terrific and if one is faced with the choice of eating the meal and seeing the show, on the one hand, or avoiding the meal and missing the show, on the other, we recommend "going for it". However, avoid the "catch of the day".
