We like Bubba's because the menu is simple and the food is usually very good, hot right off the grill.
The onion rings are excellent, but the quantity seems to fluctuate a little from visit to visit. When we were there Super bowl Sunday, the quantity was very good.
Some reviews have criticized Bubba's for being expensive, but we don't think they understand that the beef used in their burgers is produced on Kauai, so it is fresh.
A couple of surprising observations.
1) It appeared several members of the staff were just finishing their shift. They pulled out a beer and sat down at the bar to watch the Big Game. Was just surprised they were still "In Uniform" and sitting at the bar drinking. Had we not seen them finish their shift, one might have concluded they were drinking on the job.
2) The real surprise was the cook who was observed out back rolling a joint and smoking it. This might explain the generous amount of Onion Rings we received this visit. Each to his or her own, but probably not something I would do at work.
Will visit a Bubba location for another great burger next time we're near one.
