“Warm, Friendly, Healthful, and Delicious.”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Great place in Kapa'a to drop in for lunch or dinner. The creative menu makes it easy to select something you will like. The owner takes pride in her place and usually will greet you personally. Staff are personable and warm. Often at 7pm live music is on hand, the jazz night is my favorite. Outdoor seating lends a festive, island atmosphere, though covered seating is available in case of a sprinkle. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

“Best food in Kapaa!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Great music, delicious food and fantastic wait staff! The vegan dishes are the best on island. The homemade desserts are also gourmet and just the right balance of sweet but not too sweet!

“Best vegetarian selection”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

A quaint vegetarian and seafood restaurant hidden off the road in Kapaa. They have the most vegan/vegetarian menu items of any restaurant in Kauai. We really enjoyed the Coconut Macnut Tofu, Vietnamese Summer Rolls, and Thai Curried Pumpkin Soup. The Purple Sweet Potato Samosa was disappointing – it’s just mashed taro in a pastry shell. It could use some texture and spices.

“Fun Hawaiian atmosphere”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Great food, friendly and laidback service, live music, fun outdoor patio, and they're BYOB! Great choice to get a break from all of the touristy venues in Hawaii.

“Not Worth It.”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

This was recommended by our Frommer's Guide Book. The book states views of Sleeping Giant, but we found no views of anything but a courtyard from the outside. My wife had the Ahi Nori Wrap and she enjoyed it quite a bit. It seemed a reasonable value @ $12.50. However, I had the strongly recommended Charmoula for $19. A beautiful piece of fish was put to waste. At least one third of the fish was raw inside and our server did not return to the table until after we were all done with our meal, so I could not say anything. The spice was not flavorful and just a light dusting on top. The topping was also plain and the overall combination of how the fish was prepared was not at all good. The sides that came with the dish were colorful and somewhat tasty, but although unique.... unexciting to the buds. Our server was delightful, but service was not very good. We were the second of 3 tables sat when they opened. I would not recommend this restaurant as it is way too pricey for bland food.
