“beautiful setting”

Kadavul Hindu Temple
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Took a quick visit here during our visit to Kauai. Limited visting hours but worth seeing. Grounds are beautiful, setting in the jungle on a river, near a small cascade. Temple was nice, larger stone temple was not open for visitors despite it being "visiting hours" it has a sign for private use only. You do get glimpses of it through a spotting scope.

Beautiful temple close to the main road in Kauai. Absolutely stunning greenery and sculptures. Definitely worth you time.

How can anyone come away once you go there?

Visited twice during our 5 day stay. The second time, just before vacating the hotel-- only to pray and wish to go back there again.

Incredibly tidy and well-labelled. New and attractive. While admission to the grounds is 9 to 12 daily, access to the temple is 10:30 to 12 only. Incense smells intense. First thing you see driving up is the BIG sign for the Da Ananda site (that would be the former Bubba Free John), but that facility is right next door, so be sure you choose the right one!

I would love to visit the the temple again once it is all complete. Even from architectural perspective, it's a wonder. You feel humble standing in front this creation.
