A nice long walk that has views of the beaches, condos, activities. Great for those that like long walks. The well paved pathway is wide enough for pedestrians and cyclists alike and is approximately three miles long.

There are very few places ti ride bikes in Kauai without worrying abour cars on narrow roads and blind curves. It was a pleasant surprise to come across this path that runs directly parallel to the beach in Kapa'a and for a number of miles to the north. We rented bikes from a place behind the Ono Family restaurant. At $15 for two bikes for twohours it was a good deal, even if the bikes were one speed with old-fashioned pedal brakes. The trail is mostly flat with a few very gentle inclines and wide enough not to worry about oncoming pedestrians or other bikes. As others have noted the views are spectacular, the breeze refreshing and the riding quite easy. Kapa,a is a nice little town and this path is one more reason to spend some time there.

I came to Kauai for the sole purpose of long distance running. This path is wonderful and provides the most amazing views. I am definitely coming back for more running, peace and tranquility!

Rented bikes and rode along the path north for 3 miles were the concrete ends. You can go farther but the red clay will get you very dirty so wear old shoes & clothes if you decide to go off the concrete path.
Packs of whales were active off shore and made for an amazing sight and day. 2 bikes cost only $15.00 for 2 hours at Kapaa Beach Shop, 4-1592 Kuhio Hwy, Kaap'a.

Who can't ride a bike? This is one of the best bangs for your buck on Kauai. We always rent bikes and ride the trail and just are in awe of the beauty everytime we go. This last time we went by Chicken in a Barrel and got a picnic lunch and made a day of the trail, stopping pretty often and just enjoying being on kauai, there are several places to stop and eat or just sit and watch and listen to the waves. Take your time there is no telling what you will see. Our last trip we saw three sea turtles, they swam close enough we could see them for over an hour. One of our best days on the island!!!
