Description: We are a full service Bakery Cafe. Different from most due to being on this small island of Kauai,Hi. Our cafe serves both breakfast and lunch with a variety of baked goods. We also serve the health food stores, restaurants and hotel industry out of the same building. While we serve you breakfast or lunch we will be packing breads which are getting ready to be delivered to our wholesale customers. So both retail and wholesale out of the same location. We have an open kitchen so you can watch out staff at work. Also, we are roasting our own beef for our sandwiches which are covered with a house made dry rub, we also make our own pastrami using the short ribs which are perfectly marbled with good fat. We brine the short ribs for 7 days, smoke using pecan wood for 4 hours then slow cooked for 48 hours using a sous de vide technic. Come and try one of our sandwiches.

“Excellent bakery and lots of native pastry options!!”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

OPEN FROM 6 AM TO 2 PM.

we went to this place twice after reading good review in a book. It was closed both times. Finally we went on the last day of our trip a few hours before our flight and it was open. They told us they are open only in the mornings and until 2 pm.

The place was great. People were very happy to be there and it had a very relaxing atmosphere. I had passionfruit pastry and my wife had a sandwich. Both of them very excellent. there are several varieties of pastries and the staff seemed so happy to be there and baking!!

Located, close to Kintaro restaurant and across the street from MEMA (a chinese thai restaurant), within the Kinipopo shopping village.

OVERALL, 5 Stars for this superb bakery.

“Great bakery !”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

We stopped on a whim for a quick breakfast- we split an egg sandwich (they called it something clever) with a spicy mayo sauce, cheese etc.- it was superb. Coffee was good- a buck .25 for refills... Very friendly staff- excellent experience!

If you don't like fake cream then look in the little fride adjacent to the coffee self serve- real half & half in there.

“LOVED it!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We had a fresh-baked pastry and coffee for breakfast at the Passion Bakery Cafe every morning during our recent stay in Wailua. The pastries were as good as I have had just about anywhere else, and the funky atmosphere adds to the charm of the place. Try the delicious macadamia nut sticky buns (YUM!) or the mango or pineapple "crisscones"!

There is seating both inside, facing the counter and the actual bakery itself behind, and outside under a covered porch.

I wish this place were in my neighborhood back home--I'd be going there all the time!

“Good sandwiches”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

Pleasant help, delicious cookies and convenient for takeout. The sandwiches were excellent with a good variety. Not a coffee drinker but there were plenty of options for that. Also good pastry choices for breakfast and open early.
