An out of this world kayak and tropical landscape hike to Secret Falls. Bring your camera, hat, sunglasses, a good pair of running shoes, and your enthusiasm.

A great day trip. Our guide Davey (originally from our home state of NH) was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable of the area. The kayaking was great and the hike to the falls was fun, albeit very muddy.

In a week that included horseback rides to swim in a waterfall and ziplining down the slopes of Haleakala, this emerged as our family's favorite. Beautiful, informative, exhilarating. This company may seem more expensive, but they are not really if you add up the "extras" that the other companies add on. Andrew was our excellent, attentive guide. My only warning is that the hike from the kayaks to the waterfalls should not be rated "Easy". It was not easy, at least not when mud is present (which seems to be 90% of the year). The path was a challenge to my 11 year old twin boys, but they enjoyed it. I, on the other hand, fell four times on the slippery slopes; once, very dangerously and I am still recovering from the injury. Do not accept the company's advice to wear water shoes. You MUST WEAR shoes with a solid tread. Plain tennis shoes or barefoot would have been better than the water shoes. Otherwise, ENJOY!

Andy did a great job guiding us up the river and along the trail to the falls. His knowledge of the culture and natural environment are remarkable and well shared. It was a strenuous hike because of the mud from recent rains, so be prepared!

My husband and our three children ages 13,13, and 9 took the 7:45 rainbow kayak river tour and hike to the secret falls. Our guide Andy was outstanding. He was wonderful with the kids and extremely informative throughout the trip.since there were five of us my daughter went with Andy on the approximately two mile kayak trip to the hike. It was a very relaxing kayak ride and Andy explained some of the Hawaiian history and culture along the way. Then we took about a one mile hike through beautiful lush greenery (and mud) to the gorgeous secret falls. There we stopped for lunch and went for a very refreshing swim. We then made the return trip to end a wonderful and very professional tour. The entire trip took about five hours. I definitely recommend wearing shoes like tevas or water shoes that you don't mind getting very muddy. You can do the hike in open toe shoes (not flip flops). My family had a great experience we will always remember thanks to Andy and rainbow kayak tours!
