“Kayak/Hike to Secret Falls”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

The total duration of the tour was approximately 5 1/2 hours. This was probably the best kayak tour I've ever done. Aaron was a great guide, patient, and very knowledgeable about Kauai and Hawaiian culture. What I liked best was that he kept the group together and the entire kayak/hike was completed as a team. We saw some other groups that had serious stragglers in the back and the guide was nowhere to be seen. There was an older couple on the hike and he was very gracious helping them out on some tricky paths and even searched for walking sticks for them. Food and drinks are provided for this specific tour. I recommend doing the early morning tour (7:30am) since it can get way too hot to be on the river around noon. Make sure to wear comfortable water shoes as it gets seriously muddy in the path. You can also wear hiking sandals, but be prepared to be in at least 3-4 inches of thick mud in some areas.

“Kayaking in Kauai”
Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Thomas was our tour guide and he was wonderful! Informative and fun, he was friendly and didn't treat us like a tourist! The kayaking was fun but the hike was even better. It had rained so the river crossing was high but a little adventure was fun. Lunch was great. Almost got hit by a falling rock so observe the signs, it does happen :)

“Beautiful Morning Kayak/Hike”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Thomas was a wonderful guide for our 7:30am ~4hour kayak up the Wailua river and hike to a waterfall. Thomas was knowledgeable, funny, and informative all while not being overbearing or treating us touristy. We had an excellent group of 5 pairs of newlyweds and we had a blast. The excursion is not strenuous but requires some physicality. nice sandwiches, water, and snacks are all provided/included. Would highly recommend.

“Great Guide”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

We took the kayak tour and walk (they bill it as a hike but it's mostly flat). The walk is easy but you do have to ford a stream above the knees. Absorbing descriptions of plants and history of the Island by our excellent guide Thomas - without Thomas it would have been 4 stars because honestly the Rainbow Falls at the end were underwhelming as they only briefly refracted a rainbow - I was not able to get my camera out in time! However the stream can get 12 ft higher during floods & I suspect we got a dry patch. Sandwich and fresh fruit provided for lunch

The kayak along the river was fun - about 3 miles each way & you do not have to be an experienced kayaker. River current was negligible although wind blew against on way back. Everyone made it back safely - no one fell in and we all had a good time and exercise to work off the previous night's Luau
