This was an exceptional experience for us. From the very beginning when we met Sam to make our reservations to the very end when we finished this group was more than we expected. Guide Dan was very knowledgeable about all things Kauai and provided very interesting info on history, flora and fauna. This trip is very doable for just about anyone. We happen to have a massive downpour at the falls which was awesome. Smartly, Dan suggested we leave a little early rather than risk a flash flood. Very good time. We highly recommend this group to take this trip.

“Excellent Adventure (Hope I identified the right place!)”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Hello all, my wife and I scheduled a trip with Kayak Adventures out of coconut plantation shopping plaza in Kapaa, Kauai, HI. Not sure if the above is the right place but you need to ask for Daniel. If Daniel isn't there you need to leave and go to the other Kayak Adventures in Kapaa! Daniel was awesome and keeps the trip funny and interesting. It was great and a fantastic way to spend 4 hours. Go in the morning as it is a little cooler. You will work your way to the secret falls and take a dip in the (fountain of youth) small pool at the bottom of the falls. They also provide lunch and water. Daniel cut up a wonderful native pineapple that is only found in Hawaii. It has very low citric acid and is a pleasure to eat, yum! We enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend it!

Aloha Karen J,
Yes, you have the correct company! :) :)
Daniel, is fabulous and I am super blessed as an owner to have him as part of our family! He has been w/Kayak Adventures since 1998!
He is our 8:45 a.m. guide Tue-Sat. - this is actually our most popular check-in time.
Glad you had a wonderful experience w/him and enjoyed the ever-so-refreshing dip at the pool & enjoyed that yummy pineapple.
Mahalo for your kind review.
God Bless you!

“Enjoyable trip up the river & to waterfall”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Swimming under the falls a definite highlight of the trip. Nice easy kayaking & hike to get there made for a enjoyable morning trip. Guide Chris was pretty good although at times he seemed more engrossed in playing his ukulele than staying in tuned with the group. Staff at check-in/out was great.

“Great river/hiking trip”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

The kayak tour is a great way to parts of Kauai that you can't see by car. My husband and I have never kayaked before but our guide, Kevin, was very patient with us, even going along side us and giving us tips and directions. Kevin was very informative and educated us on some Hawaiian lore and he was also quite funny! He pointed out and identified a lot of the plants and trees along the hiking trail that we would have never know if we had done the kayak trip on our own. Kevin encouraged questions and answered a lot of them! The Secret Falls was a beautiful sight at the end of the trail and the water was very refreshing! Lunch was served at the falls followed by some much needed resting before hiking back to the river and heading back. Besides lunch, they also supplied the water, snacks and dry bags. Would highly recommend this tour on your visit to Kauai!

“Wonderful experience.”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

This has been one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai. Thomas, our guide, was excellent especially with our children age 5 and 8. He was very knowledgeable and showed us many things including different types of trees and plants including pointing out edible flowers and mango trees. Highly recommended for anyone including families with children.
