Good food. It's a bit pricey, but they locally source everything they can so this justifies the price. The food wasn't exeptional, but when you take into account the good service, good mai tais and great location, it adds up to a good experience overall.

The restaurant has a decent happy hour from 4-6 PM with select drinks and well-pours at $5. In particular the Thai martini is good. During busy times the timing of dishes can be off (appetizer before drinks, etc), so I'd suggest not ordering all at once. What can't be beat is the open air seating and ocean view.

On our recent trip to Kauai, this time with our Son, Daughter in law and grandson, we thought would take them for a nice lunch at Oasis. We had been there several times on previous visits and very much enjoyed the food, service and ambience and knew that our grandson would enjoy sitting on the beach.

Visit was disappointing to say the least. We arrived at 1:30 for late lunch after hiking, and it was not busy, possible 4 other occupied tables, waitresses almost outnumbered the occupied tables.. In short it took over 45 minutes after ordering to get our food, and our grandsons was even 10 minutes after that, not really good for a hungry 10 year old.
On requesting the check and being ready with our card, the waitress, went to process, and proceeded to putts around at the bar, rather than hustling the payout . There were at that time 3 people at the bar and no other patrons.

All in all we were almost 2 hours on a slow afternoon, for a cocktail each and 5 light meals. Needless to say we would not return, as service was mediocre at best. Sorry but not acceptable. '

Stay away from this place!!! We ate here for lunch (party of 4 adults). The waitress was terrible. We all ordered water to drink (just plain water) and she seemed put off that we didn't order any alcohol or beverage. She didn't know what Saimin was when my husband asked her how the Saimin tasted. We ended up having the Philly steak sandwich and it was so awful! This sandwich was way overpriced at $15. We had to ask the waitress for the salt & pepper shakers 3 times. M Our friends ordered the nachos and the hamburger. Both were cold when received and bland. And again way overpriced. We will not go here again. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

We stayed at the Waipouli resort all week in preparation (and vacation) for the wedding. Once the ceremony was over, we walked down the beach to the restaurant where they had 2 sets of 3 tables pushed together for the 22 of us. They brought us two different appetizers: Sweet potato samosas with a bacon pineapple chutney, and Island beef sliders with crispy onions and blue cheese. Both appetizers were delicious!

The main course was a choice between white fish (forgive the spelling), kahala with rice, and tenderloin with creamed spinach and blue cheese yukon. I ate the tenderloin, medium rare, which was very tender. The potatoes (blue cheese yukon) were creamy and delicious as was the spinach. Our guests that ordered the fish were not at all disappointed.

The dessert was a white cake with a white chocolate and toasted coconut topping, of which I wasn't a fan, but many of the other guests ate every bite.

My drinks for the night were the Spicy Mango Manhattan (delicious and so smooth), and the Grapefruit Martini (just as good as the Manhattan).

The service was great and we were never left waiting for food. In fact, we couldn't even finish all the appetizers they brought in fear that we wouldn't have enough room for dinner.

I will say that I ate a burger here a couple days prior and did have to wait 25 minutes for it to show up (they didn't seem that busy), but if you would like to feed a large group of people for a special event, Oasis makes sure you are well taken care of.
