This was a fun trip, but not one I would necessarily do a second time. The kayak part was pretty fun once my son and I got the hang of it, and the rudders make it easier for sure. Chris was our guide and did a good job but on the way back it felt a bit rushed. I understand they have to get back for the afternoon trip, so if I had it to do over again I'd probably do the afternoon trip for that reason. The trail is muddy...even when it's dry, it's still muddy, and it's uneven. We wore crocs hiking type sandals, and that was a mistake, even though they strap to your feet and are close toed. Definitely better to wear a pair of beater tennis shoes that you can toss afterwards. They do have some loaners there if you have nothing though. Flip flops are a definite no go! The waterfall was beautiful and the good part to going on the morning trip was that Chris got us there before the other companies, so we had a few minutes with just a few other people there that had done the trip on their own. Within a few minutes though, it was really crowded since the other guides began arriving with their groups. Still a fun trip though and one I'm glad we did.
