Great and creative food, but do the really need musicians with amplifiers in such a small space?

A great new restaurant in Kapaa. The meal was great, very attentive service. The pineapple fried rice was wonderful! It's right in Old Town Kapaa, and worth a visit if you're looking for more upscale food in a classy, yet casual setting.

We patronized Eastside (three times) while staying in Kapaa in July - easy walking distace from our Moonrise Cottage.. Great Mai Tais. We stuck with the appetizers for variety - ahi was being featured - ahi ceviche, ahi tartare, thai soup. Live music - nice wine list.

Always left satisfied.

I had the pleasure of eating at the Eastside 3 times during my week stay in Kapaa.
Loved every meal. Dillon was an excellent host. He made us feel welcome the first time and recognized us on successive visits. Everything on the menu was great and the presentation really made your mouth water. The only downside could be the live music one night a little too loud for dinner time. The other times it was very pleasant.

Kapaa: "The EASTSIDE restaurant Kapaa bar-none the Best food / atmosphere on Kauai"

I take pleasure giviing this review as I was so impressed with the menu, food, atmosphere, service - everything you want when you go out to dine - The Eastside reaches high and stays there. Add live music that you can eat too --you won't go away feeling like you didn't get what you were looking for. The many chefs are supervised and trained by California gourmet 5-star chef with many big name restaurants dazzling his resume. the service: by the boys that were trained at Roys, professional, handsome, cutting edge w/cool, look you in the eye when they talk about the specials, clearly and concise. Allow you to finish your drink without whisking it away anticipating the next cusomer to fill the table....news is: The Eastside is better then Roys. (where I've dined many times in a table overlooking a parking lot with pretty good food, but none the likes of The Eastside). Make the trip from the Southside - you won't be dissappointed.
