Aloha is what this place is all about!! We stayed in an Ocean Front unit and fell in love with the sight and sounds of the Ocean! Nothing beats this place! You can't get a better location with some of the best places to eat close by. Shopping right up the road and not far from the airport. The beach was so great to have a nice picnic under the little tree out front and watch the surfers that were right out front. The room was well organized and stocked with many things to make us feel right at home.
The best part of our stay was getting to see the ladies in the office. These girls are GREAT! anytime I needed anything Amy was willing to assist us with anything from opening our safe (which I kept locking myself out of) or helping us figure out how to work the dvd player. She is not only handy but very sweet. The other lady in the office also made us feel right at home by giving us history about the place. I will return here again next year as I have already reserved my spot!

This was my first time staying at this resort. I recently stayed in Unit #19, which is an upstairs studio unit. The view of the ocean from the upstairs lanai is really very nice… I loved having mornings out there on the lanai, watching the waves, listening to the local birds…and you can hear the waves coming into shore, and fall asleep to their rhythm at night… The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. I enjoyed seeing all the different types of flowers and plants.

The furnishings in this unit had recently been upgraded and were very nice, with a modern island-style feel. I loved seeing photos of different parts of the island on the walls. The kitchen is very well equipped and if you like to prepare your own meals, there is pretty much everything you need. Everything was clean and neatly arranged for ease of use. There was even snorkel equipment and beach chairs for me to use!

The location worked really well for me, since it's basically centrally located on the island. You are still close to the airport, but can get to North Shore, Waimea Canyon, or the west side of the island within an hour's drive, depending on traffic. I like that it is located right near the Kapaa/Wailua bypass road, since I often have to go up and down the coast, and this avoids local traffic in historic downtown Kapaa. You are within walking distance to several excellent restaurants. Multiple grocery stores, and all other types of business are just a short drive or bike ride away. Also the new bike path goes right by the property, which takes you to soooo many places along the way!

The weather was not good for swimming while I was there, but I have swam at this beach before in May, right out in front of the condos. You can fish, snorkel, and there is a big rock pool out there for the kids to play safely in. But when you can't swim in the ocean, there is a very nice clean pool at the resort.

I used to stay at the cheapie hotel down the street, but after I discovered these condos, I was hooked! The price for a place that is right on the beach with everything so convenient cannot be beat!!!

Room Tip: This upper floor studio #19 had a great lanai view, tropical plants can be viewed out of every windo...

This Place has everything and then some for what your needs may be while your on the Island. Not only is the room nice and has a full kitchen with every kind of utensil you may need or think you may need. We cooked allot of meals to save money and if you wanted to bake they all that too. Grounds very well kept along with being right on the Ocean it does have a swimming pool as well. There are two nice big Grills for you to use also. Anything you can imagine to take to the Beach they have for you. From coolers to chairs, to towels, to a flashlight if you might need it. The front desk personal were quite helpful and friendly and your in walking distance to the grocery store or the farmers market depending on what day your there. We stayed upstairs in unit # 11.

Room Tip: If you want the view I recommend taking a Unit near the Ocean.

Pro's
- Nothing beats waking up to a view of the ocean directly out your window!
- Rooms are studios, but decently sized ones. Also, the ocean front units get plenty of sun through the large windows and sliding glass door, which makes the whole unit feel airy and spacious.
- The full kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and save money/time or just have a lazy morning in your room.
- Porch with small table and chairs for enjoying the view and dining out on the ocean.
- Clothesline and pins to dry swimsuits and clothing
- Each unit has its own water heater.
- Centrally located in waipouli, just a few minutes north of Lihue and south of kapaa, about an hour from either end of the island. It's also walking distance to several decent restaurants, kayak companies and minutes from the grocery, beaches, and shopping.
- Great staff and service, the manager, front desk staff and housekeeping were all super friendly and helpful.

Cons
- Bathroom is tiny, shower only (no tub). It is very very small.
- There is a small beach, which is sort of a swimming beach if you walk left in front of the neighboring resort. There is a small wading pool for children or non swimmers that is walled off by lava rock from the ocean. A shelf of lava rock directly fronts the property.
- There is a pool and self service grills, but this is not a place to go if you are looking for on site amenities.
- No air conditioning (but there is are fans and the plantation windows usually let a good breeze through)

First things first, the renovated, ocean front units are by far the ones to get. I cannot emphasize how much being right up on the water, in combination with the renovations the owners are rolling out through the units, transforms the experience here. We actually stayed in two different units during our week here, spending a couple nights in an ocean view ground floor unit (which had not been remodeled) and then upgraded to an ocean view 2nd floor unit for the last few nights of our stay.

The non-remodeled, ocean view units are "okay." They are a little shabby, feel small (especially the ground floor units which also get less sunlight), and the cons outlined above can get in the way of what otherwise is a decent place to stay. If you are on a budget, need a clean centrally located room, they will fit the bill.

However if you can afford the upgrade, the ocean front units are hands down the way to go. We would probably not stay in the ocean view units again, but would for sure come back again and again for the ocean front units and heartily recommend the same to anyone who would ask.

We stayed in unit 17 and had a wonderful experience. The kitchen, fully equipped with utensils, was a big convenience. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the lanai was quite pleasant. The location is great and has a cute beach, although probably not suitable for swimming. We will return when back in Kauai!

If you need to be pampered - look for a different location. No SPA or gym here - but - This place is awesome - stayed in #12. Lower level right on the ocean. Shared laundry room. pool, BBQ. The location on Kauai is perfect. Kapaa is centrally located with easy access to the North, South and West. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Stove/oven, microwave, fidge, dishwasher. TV and dvd player. combination safe in the room.

close to the airport. we could actually sit on our porch and watch the planes come and go - but you cannot hear them over the surf :)

Safeway is about a mile up the road - Costco, Kmart, Walmart about 5 miles away

Comfortable,

You will not find a better or even equal value on Kaua'i. Clean well furnished accomodations, excellent staff, ocean front units very close to the ocean, shopping and restaurants in walking distance. I cannot imagine what "lovnhawaii"s problem is, as the place has newly painted woodwork in excellent condition. One of our guests weighs about 250, and had no, repeat NO problem with anything. Perhaps he / she has a permanent "bad hair day" condition.
L&L Foster. ps we are going to stay there the entire month of October 2014.

Room Tip: Any of the Ocean Front units. 2 bedroom for up to 4, studio for 2
