We LOVED this hotel!!! We were pleasantly surprised (perhaps I did not look at the amenities closely enough when booking) to find that our room was a suite with a full kitchen, living room, dining area, large luxurious bathroom & a washer and dryer! They had everything we would need to cook meals (which we took full advantage of and saved lots of money by not eating out much), had detergent for the laundry, and we had a beautiful view of palm trees and the ocean while sitting on our patio every morning and evening during our stay. We were in the middle of our island hopping around Hawaii, so it was perfect timing to wash all our dirty clothes and have all clean clothes when we headed to the Big Island! The staff was friendly and helpful, but we never really needed anything from them because our room already had everything we could need, including extra towels. I'd say this is the best bang for your buck out of any hotel we stayed at while in Hawaii. The sunrise and sunset from the back of the property was gorgeous as well. It was a perfect way to begin or end your day. Just down the road a couple miles was also a running / bicycling path that runs along the coastline. We utilized this running trail one morning and had the best of both worlds - endorphins AND a beautiful view of the sunrise over the ocean. If we ever head back to Kaua'i, THIS is where we will be staying!

We loved this place. It's what I always thought Hawaii should look like. The sloped roofs, Coconut palms, Tiki torches, blue ocean and flowers everywhere. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony at night watching the refection of the full moon on the ocean. This resort is close to the airport, shopping and many restaurants in every price range. It is easy to go anywhere on the island with ease. Our longest trip was to the canyon. I would definitely stay here again. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a small leak in the ice maker and called to have it fixed. Unfortunately it never was during our stay. We found having the Coconut Market next door was great. We went for Ice Cream, shopping and eating a number of times. My only warning is if your on the third floor be prepared to haul your suitcases and groceries up floor flights of steps. We also enjoyed watching the three local cats antics everyday. If you are tired of the massive, overdone, expensive resorts, this place is for you.

Room Tip: If you can't handle a lot of steps several times a day ask for a lower room. The advantage was t...

The room was awesome...like a little home away from home...well stocked kitchen & washer/dryer were great to have. The bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in...wanted to ship it home. Nice soft sheets too. The grounds are gorgeous. Do eat at the Hukilau Lanai restaurant at least once. There are also some less expensive options at the Coconut Marketplace next door (which appears to be undergoing a remodel) and in Kapa'a. We used the BBQ grills a couple times and they were clean and in good shape. The ONLY drawback I could mention is the concierge pushing the timeshare presentation. Ask me once - that's fine, twice? well ok. Three times? Four times? you're starting to bug me...just stop. Other than that GREAT place, and I would recommend it to anyone - especially if you want to explore both north & south sides of the island.

Room Tip: Chose the 3rd floor and even though not an ocean view room, we could see the ocean and had a nice ga...

This resort was great & in a prime location. It's situated right on the beach & next to the Coconut Marketplace. The beach isn't ideal for swimming, but great for taking a stroll, sunbathing or watching beautiful sunrises. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. I absolutely loved all of the eco-friendly products they have here. The grounds are well kept, they have a huge lounge area with fire pits that we enjoyed for hours & hammocks near the beach. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, so we weren't able to check out the pool area or restaurant. I would definitely stay here again & highly recommend this place to others.

My Husband and I have been staying at this resort for over 10 years! We love It!
Close to Airport, shopping, restaurants and right on the Beach. All the staff members are very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make your stay the best!
Don't forget the Pool bar great daily food specials and Happy Hour drinks!
Go see Sylvie on mon-weds she will welcome you with a smile, serve you your favorite beverage and plays some great tunes.

Room Tip: All the rooms here have great views but my husband and I love the rooms they call ocean front.

I have been to this hotel 3 times already. My husband and I spent honeymoon here in 2009. We came back to the same hotel in 2010. Last October 2012, we brought our 15 month toddler who enjoyed his first Hawaiian trip. We stayed in one bedroom suite and it has almost every amenity you need. I love the full kitchen and you can prepare home-cooked meal for your family. Washer and dryer are available as well. The place is at the center of Kappa and near from grocery and local markets. Although the beach is not really advisable for swimming, it is still a good place to watch sunset or just walk on the sand. i highly recommend it for families with kids. There is a play sand area for smaller kids. The pool is clean and outdoor bar is available. If we are going back to Kauai, we will definitely stay again here.

We stayed here for my honeymoon. This is not actually a hotel; its a timeshare property (all units are timeshares co-owned by people). If you see an open room, it means that the owner cannot attend or trade their time for that year and they are renting it to you. The room was clean, huge, and the kitchens are fully loaded with utensils to make just about anything you want. Two supermarkets two minutes away by car. We had the "garden view" room, which was nice if you like to look at trees, birds, mountains, and grass. As others have mentioned, the balcony is not private; everyone can see everyones balcony. Room service was excellent; the rooms were cleaned properly every day, and they even did the dishes for us each day (they loaded/started the dishwasher). There is a washer and a dryer in the room. We also ate at the hotel, which was on the higher end of price, but excellent. The pool and hot tub were both awesome too. You cannot swim on the beach there, it is too rocky, but it makes for a nice sunrise and swimmable beaches are miles away. No complaints at all about this resort or the staff; everything was excellent. Use Nani who works there if you want to book any activities, but beware of the timeshare presentations! Also, this hotel is in a nice location; it is on the east side, and since the west side is all mountains and undriveable, you are in the middle of the three driveable portions (north, south, east). There is one giant highway that goes around 3/4ths of the island, and this is on the middle of that driveway.
