This is the seventh visit to "The Beachboy" over as many years with a consistancy of high quality enjoyment. The location is beautiful, reasonably priced and conveniently situated to many attractions on one of the most "laid-back" of the Hawaiian Islands.

Room Tip: They have both ocean front and garden front rooms. The three building comprising the complex are on...

this is our third stay at Kauai Coast at the BeachBoy. we always love our stay here as the service is excellent, as well as the location. The Hukilau Restaurant has over the top great food and service. the hotel staff are courteous and very helpful and will go out of their way to take care of any issue for you. my wife and I are looking forward to coming back in 2 years with some of our kids and grandkids.

My first review of KCRBB was in 2009. Since then we have visited three additional times and just finished a stay there last week. On previous stays, we were housed in the Canoe bldg. This time we were in the Alii building, which is nice with its proximity to the pools. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was very quiet - slept like a log every night and didn't need earplugs. We opted for the one mid-week cleaning and it was sufficient.

Checkin was a breeze (we are Shell owners),and our room (1109) was ready and clean. We brought friends from Alaska with us and they were extremely impressed with their first visit to the Islands and Kauai. Seeing the resort through their eyes gave us a fresh vision - the gardens are lovely and well maintained. One difference this time was that the largely unused tennis courts have been replaced with an outdoor lanai - weather wasn't conducive to our use, but they look nice. As usual, the pool and spa were clean and even though the air was a bit cool due to constant winds, the pool was surprisingly warm.

Our only disappointment was that the Hukilau Lanai was completely booked for the duration of our stay, with a long waiting list. We cooked in more often than normal as a result. HINT: The restaurant just up the road, Wahooo, is a very satisfactory substitute for Hukilau.

We have visited timeshare condos all over the world, and besides our home resort at Lawai Beach Resort, KCRBB is our #1. Awesome time, friendly staff, great location and close to grocery shopping and the Coconut Marketplace (somewhat diminshed over the years, but still viable).

My husband and I stayed here for a vacation. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the unit was. We were able to buy food and cook in house and dine on the lanai. The bed was comfortable. It had a huge bathroom with washer and dryer. We would love to go back.

Room Tip: We were able to get a room on the top floor, there is no elevator, but you don't hear anyone run...

We can't stay away long from Kauai and Kapa'a. We managed to survive 10 days in the Hawaiian winter as one night it plummeted to 58 degrees Fahrenheit! Really?? It was just a tad chillier at home in Canada.
Once again the staff at this SVC resort went above and beyond the call of duty.
Landscaping was immaculate...however I did notice a lack of chickens this time. I'll be honest I enjoy them but I don't have to put up with them 365 days a year.

This is our second vacation at the Beachboy. We had enjoyed our first visit about 5 years ago, though that was for only a few days. This time we were there for a full two weeks.

The apartment was spacious, very well appointed and very clean. There was no sign of wear and chipping from any of the contents from furniture to crockery, one of my pet hates! The grounds have been kept in fantastic condition by an army of gardeners seen out hard artwork first thing each morning. Quite amazing. All staff we encountered were very professional and friendly as well as being eager to please. We didn't get to go to the restaurant, it was on our list of "must does" but we didn't book far enough ahead.

Just one little moan, there was no outside light on the balcony making it impossible to enjoy an evening meal and listen to the sea crashing a few yards away.

We will return!

We stayed here for four nights in Dec. 2012. For the price (we paid $164/per night) we weren't sure what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! Our two bedroom, two bath garden view villa with an island decor was very clean and nicely laid out. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of each other with the living area and kitchen between them. One bedroom and the living room had sliding glass doors leading out to a large balcony, while the master bedroom had its own private balcony. The kitchen had plenty of countertop space and was well stocked. We also had a stackable washer/dryer behind folding doors in one of the bathrooms. Although our room was called 'garden view' we had an ocean view from our balcony and could hear the waves crashing on shore.

This resort is exactly the type of place we love staying at while in Hawaii. It's spread out and not overwhelmingly large which allows for a peaceful, island experience. The grounds are well kept with winding sidewalks that connect the buildings to each other. Gently swaying on one of their hammocks between two palm trees while the sun warms you and the ocean slides up the sand just feet away...paradise.

We didn't use the pool but sat by it a couple of times. Nice free form design with a small waterfall and a kiddie pool alongside. The hot tub sits up on a small hill, allowing you to see the ocean while soaking. Another nice feature is an area of tables, grills and fire pits which are lit each evening.

The beach area is narrow and steep, but georgeous! Beautiful sunrises, driftwood, lava ledges and even the occasional monk-seal snoozing on the beach.

The resort is directly behind the open air Coconut Marketplace. It's a quick walk across a quiet street to do a little shopping or eat a delicious breakfast at Eggbert's while a rainbow forms over the mountains. They also have a farmer's market in the parking lot on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Great place to get locally grown fruits and veggies.

Pros: Clean, quiet, great room layout, centrally located for sightseeing, feet from the ocean's edge, six miles from airport.

Cons: Non swimable beach, traffic congestion on the only main 'highway' in front of resort (obviously not the resort's fault, but be aware especially in the afternoon hours).

Room Tip: The buildings are long and narrow, running east to west. The oceanFRONT rooms are on the east end...
