The views from Sleeping Giant are marvelous. The trailhead is easy to find and it's a relatively easy trek, even for those who aren't in tip-top shape.

Steep trail uphill, but interesting. Would have been better if I hadn't gotten rained on!

Moderately difficult, picturesque hike with a 1000 foot elevation whose peak offers an astounding view of the valley below stretching all the way to the ocean. The 1.75 mile trail is fairly well groomed with rocks and roots along the way which offers deep jungle surroundings...a great way to see Kauai from the "inside." Wonderful hike!

Lots of switchbacks, but the view is excellent. Be aware that the very tip of the trail is dangerous.

Went with my girlfriend on a sunny day but had rained the day before. We started from the east trailhead which makes about a 2 mile hike to the top. The trail is steep with lots of switchbacks but is very well marked and easy to follow. There are some amazing views of the valley and ocean on the way up. A nice picinic table area awaits at the lower summit with a nice lookout over the valley. Another 1/3 of a mile or so will take you to the giant's chin/face . . .basically the summit where you can see 360 degrees and get some even better views. The hike to here involves some steeper areas and you have to be cautious because there are areas where a fall would certainly be fatal . . . so go slow and make sure you're ok with heights. But if you're sure on your feet, have good shoes and are careful the views are fantastic. The climb down is 2 miles all downhill which is a nice reward.
