“A fun way to spend an hour or so”
Reviewed November 15, 2012 via mobile

I missed the guided tour so decided to see it in my own. Whomever wrote the signs has a great sense of humor ("we made a maze but our employees kept getting lost!"). The self-guided tour takes about 20 minutes...no getting lost as it is essentially a circle. It was fun and very informative. The coffee was great- I hadn't had coffee in several years, but this was delicious. If you buy 4 packages of coffee (they grind it for you), you get 1 bag of peaberry coffee gratis! I recommend this as a fun stop.

“Just wonderful”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We saw this advertised and thought it would be an interesting way to spend a couple of hours. When we arrived we were just in time to be given one of the three guided tours of the plantation (1pm).

The guided tour is on foot through the area set aside to show visitors how coffee starts from a small bush, to bean picking, drying, roasting and of course drinking.

The knowledgeable guide was very interesting and willing to answer any number of questions. The tour ended with an easy assembly of guests in an area that showed video footage of the coffee process, a museum and as much free coffee of all different flavours and strengths that you could possibly want.

There was no hard sell, you could do the tour alone should you want to and although there was the usual irritating gift shop, you were not expected to purchase anything.

The whole place seems geared up to teach you about their four million coffee bushes and what they do with them. Any purchases from them is an added bonus but they are not in your face at any time.

Highly recomended

“Not Kona, But Close”

The plantation has a nice tour. The little food stand has all manners of coffee creations. The coffee prices are reasonable, and the coffee club deal is not bad. Consider the coffee candies and the coffee syrup.

“Great Coffee!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

A little off the beaten path, but a fun stop. Can sample a wide variety of coffees produced by the Kauai Coffee Company. There is an educational maze to walk through with signs explaining the machinery or plants/trees. Ice cream and sandwiches for sale, and a gift shop for souveniers. Easy to get back on the highway and enjoy the rest of your trip to Kauai.

“Definitely check out. Especially if you enjoy coffee!”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

My husband and I stopped here and it was well worth it. You can go on a self-guided walking tour to find out more about the coffee and then sample the different varieties when you're done. There is also a gift shop where you can purchase the coffee and other gifts. Nobody is hounding you to buy anything and there is no rush. Plus, it's free!
