My husband and I aren't into the flowers as much as we are into taking photo's of them. This is a heaven for photographers. The owners of the gardens did an amazing job laying it all out. The back drop for the gardens is the Makana Mountain Ridge which is extremely picturesque. We spent about an hour and fifteen minutes here simply due to the fact that they were closing and we wanted to stop in Ke'e beach. If you really love the flora there is no chance of completing it that quickly, so please plan for a few hours. It's certainly the best botanical gardens we have ever been to and highly recommend everyone to go see the natural beauty.

Rated as one of the best botanical gardens in the world, this is a must see. The self guiding booklet is excellent if you don`t have time for a guided tour. The history, folklore, archaeology, scnery and botanical aspects are superb. This is a truly educational experience which should not be missed.

This is one of three national botanical gardens on Kauai. Its the most "original" in that it features flora dating back to before Man visited the island and after the Polynesians landed. The garden tour (guided or self guided) provides a great education about the first Hawaiians and how they and later on, Europeans, forever changed the land. Impressive archeological sites. You will enjoy beautiful sights and vistas. Its also very close to Ke'e, the start of the famous Kalalau trail.

The gardens at Limahuli were spectacular!!! They are bordered by the Pacific Ocean, and the mountains, which look like a miniature version of Machu Picchu. All the flowers, trees and vegetation was labeled with botanical names, etc. At the top of the garden, the views are incredible! This is also a must for photgraphers!!!!!

The only thing I can say about this garden tour is that it is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I have ever visited.
We did a self-guide tour on 10/22, it was fantastic. The scenery was outstanding and the plants within the Garden are very diverse. Not only do you get to enjoy the view of plants, mountains and ocean but you get a history and cultural lessen as well. If you are on the north shore make this one of your stops
