Interesting menu, a mix of Mexican and Brazilian dishes. The Mexican dishes sounded like the same things you find at any Mexican restaurant anywhere, but the Brazilian dishes were unusual -- sort of Brazil-meets-Hawaii. The food and service were both very good and the outdoor seating in a beautiful tropical setting is a must.

They have outside tables with great views of the mountains! You're right there! The restaurant is hidden in the back behind Baracuda. My chicken quesidilla was very tasty. Service was friendly. Chips, salsa & guac just so-so. But the view is what I loved about this restaurant. I would definately return....with bug wipes or spray this time.

We had dinner here last night - our first night in Kauai on this trip. The waiter was pleasant. The food was not. The fish tacos were terrible and overpriced. The beer was so pricey I did not have one. The outdoor setting was fine - erxcept for the cat who kept visiting - apparently smelling the fish tacos.

Tried this place for first time this evening (and last). The Carne Asada burrito had so much rice and beans on the plate the lightly filled burrito (very little steak and lots of tortilla) was overwhelmed. The Brazil catch of the day curry special was Ahi and unfortunately was way over cooked as we're the 3 shrimp on the plate. Once food was finally delivered we never saw the staff again until I asked for check. Fair food, poor service, and pricey - not a good combination. Too many other options within walking distance to eat here again.

For 2 years, this has been by far our favorite lunch spot in Hanalei. The food is Brazilian with a hint of Pacific Rim. It's located way in the back of the Hanalei Shopping center, behind Bar-Acuda, so be persistent and find it! It only seats about 15 people outside, which is the best place to be. Get the PANQUECA, either with beef, chicken, or vegetarian-- it's the best thing on the menu. I'm a devoted meat eater, and even I always order the vegetarian version, with Kauai's purple potatoes! It's a small operation, and Neide herself will probably wait on you.
