You get what you pay for at this second story Ching Young village Hanalei restaurant. While it leans towards visitors rather than locals it boasts gorgeous mountain and waterfall views, a slightly hipper yet engaging waitstaff and an attentive service that encourages a languid afternoon. Not the cheapest way to fill your sensory gullet in Hanalei but a satisfying Happy Hour splurge nonetheless. The potent Mai Tais coupled with the pupus had us gazing at the many waterfalls and feeling like we had done something right in our lives. Including a generous tip we dropped just under a hundy at this place, in return we received panko crusted shrimp in chili sauce (4 pcs, $14), battered calamari ($11), a great Vegas roll ($14), a basket of fries ($5.50) and three scrumptious MaiTais ($7.50 each from 3:30-5:00). Rolled out of there feeling satiated on all levels.
