There are two amazing lookouts on the way to and from
Hanalei, on a clear day stop at each of them and marvel!

Most of Kuaui has many places with beautiful scenes so I strongly advise you to stop and enjoy the views, as no two are alike but most are stunning.

A true Kauai landmark view not to miss. No cost and there right by the side of the only road that leads in and out of Hanalei. As you wind your way in to Hanalei be prepared to stop and pull over to your left. Possibly best for you to wait until you leave Hanalei so you can pull off more safely to your right. Many people there gawking at what is truly lush Hawaiian valley view. The Tarot like well irrigated paddy fields stretch out in front of you. The colors change during the day. Well worth a quick stop to and from your Hanalei trip.

The best pictures are taken at dawn and dusk. It only takes a few seconds to syop and will remain in your memory forever. Love the Aloha and know that over 75% of the taro is grown right here before your eyes. Poi is a good thing and once you enjoy it, you'll always have the craving for it.

This is right off the main road, definitely worth the stop for the views and photos. Taro fields everywhere, very green. You are NOT charged for parking or viewing.
