After having read many reviews for going on a sunset cruise along the Na Pali coast, and some personal recommendations, we decided to go with Captain Andy. It was a fantastic experience. We saw spinner dolphins while leaving port, and simply spend a gorgeous afternoon and evening with this outstanding crew on a large and very comfortable catamaran. While we had seen the Na Pali coast by helicopter the day before, sailing along the coast provided a totally different perspective, watching as the setting sun slowly changed the appearance of the cliffs and the various shadows within. What a view!!!

Dinner consisting of steak and shrimp, salad and dessert, and all was excellent and rivaled the quality you would get at a better restaurant. Their Tiki drinks were also very, very good.

One word of caution, during part of our trip the water was somewhat choppy, and two people (out of about twenty five) did not feel good. For those that may be prone to seasickness, I suggest taking one Dramamine the night before you go and one a couple of hours before the trip. Don't wait to take it until you feel sick....it will be too late. But, regardless, don't let this hold you back. It was a fantastic excursion with a top notch crew. We will definitely do this again during a future trip to Kauai!

We did the sunset dinner Na Pali dinner tour. It was fabulous. Everything was very well organized. We had our 2 year and 3 year with us. The crew was very kind to our children. Our 3 year even had a chance to drive the boat. He is still talking about it. We spent a good amount of time viewing the coastline. The BBQ dinner was great. The water was a little choppy at the end. I only noticed one person who was sea sick. Captain Andy's really knows what they are doing. The crew was very professional. So far this was the highlight of our trip!

Our tour was a sunset cruise on the Napali coast. This was a must do while on Kauai! The scenery is incredible, the crew outstanding AND we were served a gourmet dinner and sneaky Tikiʻs (alcohol). What could be better? Hmmm. Possibly the spinner dolphins, the turtles or maybe the incredible sunset? We went in August. So bring sunscreen, a lightweight long sleeved shirt (cuz you will burn even with the sunscreen), sunglasses and a camera. Donʻt worry about what type of shoes to wear because you take them off before you get on the catamaran. If you are prone to motion sickness you may want to consider premedicating. As with any excursion of this type gratuities are appreciated, so bring some extra cash with you because the crew takes outstanding care to make sure you are happy and taken care of.

My husband and I went on the all day rafting adventure with Capt. Tony and J-Sea. We had a wonderful experience all around. During our trip we saw lots of dolphins and sea turtles and were given an ecological and historical lesson that was informative and interesting. The warm lunch provided for us was delicious - perhaps the best pork we had while in Hawaii. One engine in our boat went out half way through the trip, but this did not dampen the experience, our crew remained professional and accommodating.

My husband and I are in Kauai on our "babymoon" and are staying in Kapa'a. We knew we wanted to see the Na Pali Coast by boat, and originally through we'd do a raft tour that actually goes into some of the caves and tunnels on the coast. Unfortunately, these tours aren't recommended for pregnant women, so we kept looking. We came across Captain Andy's Sailing Adventures' website and decided to do a Na Pali Dinner Sunset Sail.

The afternoon of our trip it was rainy and cloudy, so we were concerned about the weather, and if the trip would be worth it. We got onto the boat and were introduced to the crew - Captain Sterling, Kai, and Hans. We motored out of the harbor (in order to cover the 80 or so total miles, much of the sail is done under motor power), and were instantly impressed by the beautiful landscape and the crew. Hans, Kai, and Sterling were fantastic. They were attentive - bringing drink options around to everyone on the boat, interesting - providing commentary and information about what we were seeing, and helpful - offering to take photos of groups and couples the entire time.

We were lucky that the weather held, and the clouds cleared up. Additionally, the water was remarkably calm with low winds, which led to a very pleasant boat ride. The food they served for dinner was very tasty, and they opened up the bar on the trip back (probably a smart idea as the sneaky tikis seemed to creep up on you!).

As the sun began to set, Sterling shut off the motor, and turned the boat around so we could enjoy watching the sunset while drifting quietly in the sapphire blue waters off the Na Pali coast. Hans and Kai again took as many photos as we all wanted to be sure everyone had a wonderful experience.

All in all, this was one of the best parts of our trip, and I cannot recommend this company and this crew enough. It was truly a life experience!
