“Will go again!!”

Love, love, lived the loco moco. I am from Midwest and it was auch a homey dish. The girls all had breakfast dishes and very large portions. Excellent service. Best breakfast so far on the island.

“Huge Portions & Reasonable”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

We have been to Kauai/Poipu many times but this was our first visit to Grinds. We stopped for breakfast on the way to the canyons and we were very impressed with the service and the food. We ordered the freshly made Hash & Eggs and were surprised to see two huge bowls of food placed in front of us. The food was very good but It was more than either of us could finish so we ended up getting go containers. They also have a small bakery with fresh breads, buns, and other delights. We found the prices very reasonable for the islands! I understand that they have a mini-menu so next time we will be better prepared to finish a delicious meal. Oh, forgot to say they also have great coffee and their service was excellent. If you haven't been to Grinds then we highly recommend it for breakfast or any other meal...it is worth the trip!!!

Just order any of the hash off the menu and you will be thrilled. Huge portions could easily be shared. Friendly service, terrific coffee...yum.

“My kind of place”
Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

Nice casual dining at an affordable price. The breakfast menu is great and available all day. The deli style sandwiches are very generous in size. The Grind burgers are always good. The service is friendly. Our server made a small mistake in our order and was quick to apologize and comp'd us without even asking. We enjoy having lunch here.

“Super salads”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

M'y husband and I stopped at Grinds after a trip to Wiamea canyon. We both chose salads. They were moderately expensive but the lettuce was local and the ingredients plentiful (I couldn't finish mine) fresh parmesan cheese and tons of walnuts in the grilled chicken walnut salad really impressed me. The papa y'a sied dressing Israël so you m'y and the bread was fresh from their own ovens. The waitress was helpful and quick to take our orders and to serve us, she didn't flinch when we only ordered water to drink. They even have a small but reasonably priced wine list. We noted excellent because of price/quality. If your looking for upscale forget it. This is a diner, but if you want great food at a good price this is the place.
