We accepted an invitation to hear a timeshare presentation in exchange for a great rate at this property. Our 2-bedroom condo was very nice. We did quite a bit of sightseeing and explored 3 island beaches. We didn't use the pool in King's Island until the last day, and only walked around the larger hotel amenities and shops. All very nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying there.

This was our first timeshare experience. We bought the HGVC Wakiloa Beach Resort timeshare on ebay for much less than I have seen them advertised elsewhere. As such, we didnt know what to expect when we got there. What we found was a pristine condo that looked like it was brand new. The 2 bed/2 bath unit was perfect in every regard. The layout was perfect ...one King bed master suite + another bedroom with two full beds plus a fully equipped kitchen, seating area for 6, and separate "family room" and washer/dryer in room, the finishes (furniture, carpet, kitchen, kitchen appliances, bathroom tile work, etc.) were very well designed and used high end materials. The beds/pillows were extremely comfortable. We were there for a week but didn't turn the TV on even once but there were nice flat screen TVs as well as Bose stereo systems in the rooms. There is also a shuttle that comes by every 30 minutes that will take you to the Hilton hotel (great pool/lagoon) as well as the two shopping areas that have multiple restaurants. One you get there you really don't need to drive anywhere which is nice if you want to a have a couple tasty beverages at dinner! If you do have a car (or call a cab), make a reservation at the Lava Lava beach club (which in not part of Hilton) for a sunset dinner. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place. Went there for the second time this year during Spring Break. Big bonus being able to use the facilities at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Rooms are bright and airy. Grounds are well maintained.

Most of the staff goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable, however there are a few at the front desk that that should not be in the hospitality industry. Also the rooms need to be cleaned more properly between guest stays, do not like the feel of sand below my feet when I have just checked in.

Tip for people travelling with families, shop at the Costco near the airport instead of the Queens Marketplace which is nearby.

This is a great place to stay!

I work in property management, so when I stay in a hotel, I look at it from a slightly different way than most people.

I look at how it was built, what is the quality of the fixtures, the craftmanship of the doors (solid core? three hinges? nice straight 1/8" reveal and cleanance? good paint job?), the use of high ceilings, etc.

Someone put a lot of time and money into making this place top notch.

Room Tip: We were on the end and had no one above us, and only heard a neighbor one time when they were out on...

You've finally made it to Hawaii, excited to begin your vacation and hoping that your lodging accommodations are equal to your expectations. Be rest assured that the villas at the Waikoloa Beach Resort are everything that you expect. We've stayed here two different times and both units were well furnished and clean. Beds comfortable and towels big and fluffy. Proximity to the Hilton Waikoloa Village is also a big plus. They have a mini bus that has scheduled stops but the walk was never more than 15 minutes to the ocean and the Ocean Tower. Why would you want to stay here - it's more like an apartment than a hotel room. If you come with family two bedrooms, living room, two bathrooms - room enough so you're not stepping over people or luggage. Also, the stacked washer and dryer lets you wash clothes so you can cut back on your packing - bring your snorkel gear instead. If you plan on cooking they do have gas grills between buildings but bring our own spices, even salt and pepper, as the units have cooking utensils only. I have a small plastic case that I carry small amounts of spices that we use. The master bath has a 5 head shower and a tub big enough for two people to soak in together. The pool is not as exceptional as at Kings Land but when you are within walking distance of the amazing pools or lagoon at the Hilton Waikoloa Village you will want to be there anyway. Staff very friendly and helpful and grounds well maintained. Wish I was there now!

Room Tip: Units 1400 and 1500 are further from the road and face the golf course

We loved this property...the service was fantastic, it was so clean and well groomed and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The fitness center located at the adjacent property was clean and loaded with great equipment. ..the pool was nice and not crazy busy like the Hilton so for the price of a regular hotel room no kitchen and no space. ... why not stay here and avoid the crowds, eat your own food to save $$ and use the main Hilton amenities when you feel like it? Unless you absolutely need an ocean view this is the way to go

We loved how big the resort was, it was very well thought out. So many different things to do do. Loved it and strongly recommend! We read complaints about how spread out it was, and we honestly liked that. There was so much that the resort offered. As long as you have a rental car or know how to plan your schedule around the shuttle pick-ups, or don't mind a little walking, you have nothing to worry about.

We had a rental car so we loved taking many off resort excursions we were able to do because of the resorts location on Big Island. Convenient to the airport, Kona, and we didn't mind the two and a half hour drive to volcano national park.
