I like the location of this restaurant the best in the resort. You can see the 3-4 foot Milk fish at night in the canal. Pizza was pretty good and not outrageously expensive. Good service.

We went here our first night at the resort because we were kind of tired and thought it would be laid back. First of all, it wants to be upscale, but it's a pizza place. So you go in, and it's all fussy and fancy, and the prices are fussy and fancy, but you're going to get pizza or chicken parm and some beer or wine. It's fine, but it's not fancy. Also, they were playing music...Spanish music. Spanish music is fine, but I mean did they forget it was an Italian themed restaurant, or did they just think nobody would know Spanish from Italian?

And holy crap on a stick...dinner for two people was like $80. For pizza and beer. What?

We ate twice and Dona and Toni's Pizza during our stay at the Waikoloa Village. We loved the outdoor seating with the great views of the resort, the ocean and the sunset. The service was excellent. The pizza was tasty. The server recommended some local beer (Kona Big Wave and Kona Longboarder). Both times we stopped here after a long, busy day of sightseeing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable way to wind up the day before heading to the resort's pools.

This restaurant has a nice casual and family feel to it. There are a lot of different foods to choose from on the menu, but my personal favorite is the 3 meat lasagna. The pizza is really delicious too. If you staying at the hilton waikoloa village hotel or staying in the waikoloa area this place is a must for great Italian food.

Staying at the Hilton, we decided to try Dona and Tony's Pizza... we believe it is a recent addition to the Hilton Resort's portfolio of places to eat. With no reservations we initially sat at the bar and were thoroughly engaged with the amiable bartender who made us feel very welcome. On his advice we asked the hostess if we could get a table w/o reservations. Within a few minutes we had a water side table which was very accommodating. The pizza was as ordered and delicious, the penne pasta Alfredo was also delicious... Up to this point everything was beyond our expectations...... then we asked for a to-go carton for the pizza and the "fruit crisp" ala mode from the dessert menu.. The to-go carton was delivered in about 10 minutes... I am not sure where they had to go to get it, but it seemed a long time.... then after another 20 minutes of waiting and not seeing our server, I finally walked over to the hostess and asked her to track down our server. After another few minutes our server appeared with the desert we no longer wanted, apologizing and saying she had to "instruct the chef on how to prepare the dessert"... (..what???) after she explained there would be no charge for the dessert we felt compelled to taste it..... 1. It was not a "fruit crisp" as described but a fruit tart in a pre-formed pastry cup. 2. the inside of the tart was absolutely burned to a charcoal crisp (I still amazed at how one would do that....) I am not a chef but even I could heat up a tart without burning it to a crisp... btw... the ice cream was excellent (pretty hard to ruin ice cream)
This all happened about 10 days ago in mid October 2013... I can only hope that management has fixed the "on the job chef training issue"......
