“Diffent twist on Surf and Turf”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

We went here for dinner and it was very good. My wife had the short ribs and I had the surf and turf (grilled Shrimp and BBQ ribs) bother were excellent and we would go again and again and again!

“Excellent food, incredible service”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We recently had a quick meal here (unfortunately) while headed for the airport. The service was AWESOME! And the food was excellent! We have been to many Roy's locations, and this one is the best we have been to. Although we had 3 appetizer-sized items and a dessert, there was a very good amount of food and it filled us up. We had the Pork Potstickers, Ahi Sushi Roll, and Misoyaki Butterfish. For dessert we shared the Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
Our waiter was very attentive (but not bothersome), the hostess was very nice, and when we were leaving, no less than 4 people wished us a nice evening. I am truly sad that we could not have stayed for a longer, more luxurious evening, but the plane awaited. I wish all Roy's locations were as terrific as this one!

“Best visit yet”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We have been to this Roy's many times. So, for a special occasion we decided to go here. Normally this is a bit above our price range, but what the heck. We decided to dine fairly early, 5.30. Got in, immediately got seated at a very nice table in the corner with water views on two sides of us. Overall though the atmosphere in this Roy's is just OK, kind of plain, low ceilings, but does have a view of the lake next to the shopping center it is located in. Nothing special about the ambience here. It is usually fairly noisy and chaotic, but for some reason on this Friday night it was not all that busy. Even when we left at about 7.30, it was only about 1/2 full. Low season, I guess. Started with a "Dragon Roll" of butterfish and potstickers, both excellent. The two entrees were Monchong and Blackened Ahi, both creatively prepared, served with veggies and rice. We finished with the pineapple upside down cake, which was hot out of the oven and awesome. A bottle of "Decoy" wine was $65, a bit pricey, but all their wines are pricey. Service was good to, not overbearing, but there when you needed them. My only criticism is that sometimes I feel like they try to move people to quickly through the restaurant and I feel a bit hurried, which is not the way I want to feel when I spend that kind of money.

We enjoyed our dinner at Roy's while we were staying at the Hilton Waikola Village. We all had fish and all were very good. Service was excellent.

“Always good.”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

Service was great, food excellent (the Hawaii Roy's locations always seem to get it right, sauces and seafood preparation and presentation). This location can get very busy, a lot of family groups it seemed, so you may want a reservation.
