“Great Sunset and Open Bar”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

The Sunset Luau at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott was amazing. With an open bar and beautiful sunset view, the price was well worth it (and very similar to the other Luau options). The only complaint we had was that they ran out of the pig roast before we got through the buffet line and the rest of the food was just okay. We were definitely there for the drinks and entertainment, so we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We highly recommend this Luau. The food was excellent and no long drink lines. The show, singing, dancing was excellent.

“Wow!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

Let me start by saying that this was our 4th Luau experience. My husband (not so easy to please) went on and on about how this is the best one he's been to. His fave was the Fire Dancer, he was the best! The food was fresh and Ono! Open bar, great variety of libations. Our boys were happy,10 and 13, we met fantastic people. The dancers were gorgeous! It was a beautiful night with a fantastic Sunset!

“Decent luau, my first so nothing to compare it to.”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

This Luau was close to where we were staying and had decent reviews, so we went. This being my first Luau, I can't really compare it but here are my thoughts on the evening.

$100 pp seems a bit steep for what you actually get but that seems to be the going rate. The open bar lasts throughout the 3 hour event, bartenders were great and decent brand booze was being served. This was definitely a plus. The location of the Luau on the Marriott property is very nice. The woman MC did a very nice job and the entertainment was good to very good. The food was just average (at best). Served buffet style, there were not enough choices for hot items. The pork was the best item out there (as it should), nothing else was noteworthy.

This Luau is certainly convenient to the Waikoloa Village, and is well run. I think the menu needs a bit of an overhaul and some added items.

“Enjoyable evening”
Reviewed April 27, 2014 via mobile

Third trip to islands...first luau. It was awesome. The entertainment was great; the dancers were beautiful. Food was above average for a large group. We upgraded and sat in front row. Got beautiful leis and an appetizer dish which was good. Drinks were great and did not stand in long lines. Was skeptical after reading reviews but we much have been there on a night that was spot on. Was not disappointed at all. Entire party enjoyed it.
