Great beach. Quiet. There are Palm Trees to sit under, the water is a tad murky in spots but we swam right up to 6 or 7 huge sea turtles. They followed me around. There's a great rental shack on the beach for gear and parking is free and no one knows about it.

This is one of my favorite beaches. It’s a bit calmer than many of the others and an ideal place to swim.

8 years ago, I stayed at the Marriott, which has access to this beach. On this trip, we were staying at a condo south of Kailua. The beaches just are not as nice down there. So, we made the 45 minute drive up the coast. It is well worth it. The sand is very soft and the water is very calm. There is also a good restaurant to eat at.

We wanted to have another choice for a beach and this one was recommended by our concierge at the resort. Commonly referred to as "A Beach" due to the challenging name of the beach. Easy to find and only a short paved walk from the parking lot.

Good facilities right on site. Nice sand and with options of natural shade and open sunny areas. I did take some time to snorkel here, but was somewhat disappointed as the water was not very clear and fish not abundant. Still managed to see around 12 types of fish etc.

This is a great place to watch the sunset in the evening which is what we did the second time on the beach on our trip.

Yes we will go back, enjoy the water and read a good book!

Go in the morning, before the waves and wind pick up. A long beach to walk, there are loungers close to the Marriott resort. Good for boogie boarding, some snorkeling and swimming. Lots of shade if you get there early. Beautiful sunsets from behind the fish pond looking towards the ocean. Walk down the beach past Lava Lava to spot turtles on the rocks and beach. Many feral and friendly cats live here.
