We are owners here and this was our third stay over the last few years and always enjoy coming back and seeing the same employees. It says something about the property and management when employees stay with a company for many years.
True, it is located away from happening Kona but there are some additions we liked this year.
The happy hour has been expanded to include more drink choices and its from 4-6PM. Bar tenders Billie and Roysin are great! There is a new breakfast buffet for $12 including scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage pancakes, juice and coffee. It fills the void of not much on the property for breakfast.
I was happy to take Frank's yoga class again on Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8-9 am. He's a very good instructor and weather permitting, holds the class on the beautiful grounds of KIng's Land.
We had dinner at Buzz's Sand Trap near by and it was reasonably priced and delicious.
We drove to Waimea and had lunch at the funky Huli Sue's which has smoked and barbqued meats and home made fries. Delics!
Kona has a nice big Target store and don't miss the terrific lunch specials at Kona Brewery Company.
KL is quiet and peaceful and we look forward to returning.More
