We are Hilton timeshare owners. We visited Kings Land in May 2014 for 4 nights. We had a one bedroom suite in building 4 on the first floor. We had our own backyard area and direct access to the building 3&4 pool. The room was updated and very large. The hula show on Thursday night is great and it's free. We visited the Hilton hotel next door, you have free access to the pool and free parking. The staff at both hotels was great. My daughter liked the kids club and the free shave ice at Kings Land.

One bedroom Very nice condo. Excellent staff. Location on a golf course. Newer resort. 30-40 minute drive to Kona or Waimea. Several beaches within 10-15 minute drive. Nice place even better if you are a golfer

Though there were a few trouble, We all had a very good and comfortable time. There is a super market near here, so we can get many kinds of foods and beverages easily. We hope to revisit this resort ASAP.

I did a lot of research before settling on the Kings Land resort. It is a Hilton property which is my preference. I was not interested in being at the big Hilton resort with all the activities - too crowded. We are a family of four and this was the last few days of our trip to Hawaii. I also wanted to make sure we had a kitchen and a washer/dryer. So this was a great pick.

We booked a one bedroom, two double bed condo. We were in building six which is brand new. It was right next to the pool. The beds were comfortable, but a little small for two people. One of my daughters opted for the sofa bed. The bedroom connects to a bathroom and the living room. The bathroom has two doors (one to the bedroom and one to the living room). It has a beautiful soaking tub, a very large and incredible shower and a "water closet". The towels were super large and wonderful. We were even provided with robes.

The bedroom has a large closet, plenty of drawer space, a television and a safe. The living room had a comfortable chair, sofa and large flat screen television. You are also provided with a x-box for gaming and movies. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed - coffee maker, blender, hand mixer, toaster, fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. They also provided detergent, coffee, sponge, paper towels, etc. The washer/dryer is a stacking unit so they were a little small, but worked well.

There is also air conditioning! We had stayed in two other places while on the trip which did not have it and there was a significant lack of trade winds while were there. I also loved our patio.

The pools were awesome. Water volleyball, water slides, water falls, etc. The little kid section had a beach and you could check out sand toys. The adult pool had a lot of little ledges and steps perfect for lounging in the water.

We ate at the little bistro for breakfast and snacks. It is resort pricing - expensive. But the breakfast was good. The drinks weren't very strong, but they did offer happy hour and daily specials.

We also loved being able to check out movies (from a Red box like kiosk) for no cost. You could get two at a time for a 24 hour period. There were several recent releases. There was also live entertainment between 5-7 pm in the bar/bistro area.

Within less than 2 miles was the shopping area of the resort. The two centers had some chain stores (like Claires), but also local stores too. Again, resort pricing. The grocery store there was pretty good, but expensive. It sells a lot of souvenirs too.

There is a food court with a Dairy Queen, a bbq place and few other fast food options. We did end up eating at Macaroni Grill one night out of convenience. It was ok.

We never ended up going to the other resort which was probably 4 miles from where we were staying. They give you parking passes so you can go there and enjoy the pools and the beach. And if you really want to visit the beach while staying there, there are several beaches within just a few minutes of the resorts.

I wish we had stayed there for a little bit longer, but it was not in the budget. It is expensive compared to what we paid for the vacation rentals we had in the other places. But it was so relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!

I was a little reluctant to go to what is essentially a timeshare resort, because the Big Island of Hawai'i shows all the evidence of volcanic activity...large tracts of black lava and even black sand beaches. However, this place is amazing. Many have written about (and I concur) that the units are superbe. They have everything you'll need to cook, sleep easy...wash and dry your clothes. The pools (and there are many) have everything from slides and waterfalls for kids of all ages to an adult pool and a serenity (quiet) pool. The staff are so helpful and pleasant. They all make you feel right at home...and what a home.
The resort is close to shops and restaurants and about 25 minutes north of the town of Kailua-Kona, which teems with yet more shops and eateries. It has supermarkets, Walmart amd K-Mart for all the family favourites.
Though the resort is not 'on' the beach it is a short drive/walk away. Golfers have courses right on your doorstep. The Hilton Waikoloa Village complete with monorail, dolphins and many other distractions is right beside you and the resort has a shuttle for its guests to get to all these places.
From an initial lack of enthusiasm, I fell in love with this place. I cannot believe anyone would be disappointed.
I could go on and on, but why not discover it all for yourself. You do have to travel to paradise...the islands are far away, but that is their charm and all their beauty.

Room Tip: There are 1, 2 & 3 bed units over three floors in buildings 1-14 and in two buildings 21 & 2...

This is the first time I have stayed for a full week at a Hilton Grand Vacation Club, even though I am an owner. I found this resort delightful, restful and beautiful. The staff is amazing, friendly, going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
