How hard is pasta to cook? Anyway, it was terrible. Served over cooked, and brought to our table cold, 1 minute after the salads were delivered. Service was below average. Seafood on the pasta (I am expecting fresh as I am literally 100m from the ocean here) was NOT fresh. It may have been a better meal purchasing a sandwich from the grocery store next door.

“Average but good service”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

On arrival we were shown straight to our table and were greeted by the waitress who was friendly and helpful. Orders were taken and the food arrived in good time. We felt that the portions were small, particularly my wife's pasta dish, although the quality was fine. Wine by the glass was confusing, and both sizes were poor value. Despite this we will probably come again as in my opinion (and many of those in recent Forum postings) Waikoloa is let down by expensive, poor value restaurants (I have not tried Lava Lava which is receiving good reviews). This is as good as most of the others in this resort area..

“Better off with fast food”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Overpriced, underserviced and flies on food a problem. If you have eaten at a Romano's Macaroni Grill on the mainland, don't bother to eat at this one. The food was really average as was the service. Considering the quality of the accommodations the area, the restaurant should have provided a better quality of food and service. Save your money, have a quick lunch at the deli in the store across the walkway and go for a nice dinner elsewhere.

“Chain concept beats many local well known spots for value.”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Chain restaurants usually don't excite simply because they are formulas. Atmosphere service food and value for four patrons agreeably one of the better experiences. Server was fast efficient and very friendly. Food portion and taste very good. Wine by the glass comes in two sizes. Not busy on a monday night would come back.

“Convenient Location! Subpar food”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

My family dined at Romano's Macaroni Grill while on vacation in the Waikoloa area. The location was perfect as it was a close walk from our hotel; however, the quality of food was subpar. Our meals lacked taste and were overpriced. Would not return.
