Limited access and high cost are only obstacles to this great experience for dolphin lovers at the Hilton Waikaloa. The experienced handlers give a once in a lifetime up close and personal experience to those attending. Awesome intimate lagoon setting. If you can't get in watch from the Lagoon Grill nearby.

The trainers and staff are great. I think we will see one of them working with us in Cairns. Spent 45 minutes interacting with three different dolphins. They seemed to be enjoying themselves

good experience but very expensive for the little bit of time with the dolphins. Trainers gave more time to the children with the dolphins even though I paid the same price for the experience.
Too much talking a goofing around by the trainer and not enough time with the dolphins.

She loved the interaction with the dolphins. She still remembers their names and tells us "fun facts" about each of them. It was pricey, but worth it.

I did not stay at this hotel but wanted to see the dolphins. You can park there at hotel and walk (long walk) to the dolphin lagoon by their hotel pool which is beautiful. They have some baby dolphins now. Can watch others doing the dolphin encounters in the water and see the dolphins swim throughout their lagoon. This is free and all you must do is pay for parking and walk to it. Parking was about $9 for 2 hours. This is a great option if you want to see the dolphins but either don't want to or can't afford the Dolphin Quest encounters. Their Dolphin Quest gift shop was small and not much there.
