Chalet Kilauea's Hapuu Suite is awesome... a romantic hideaway surrounded by fragrant ginger and beautiful hapuu's-- a perfect place to be for two wonderful days of peace, relaxation, and of course--a romantic weekend with my wonderful fiance. Chalet staff was very friendly. Three course gourmet Breakfast--excellent!!! Fresh Fruits, great fetta egg omelet, and passion fruit sorbet, great service.. Great location--just minutes away from the park and the village.. All around Awesome experience!!!

We stayed one night (the Jade Room) and it was a welcome change after the surly staff and crowds at the Hilton Village at Waikiki. The house is quiet and pretty, the room was lovely and very spacious, the breakfast was delicious and enormous! There is a really nice living room as well as kitchen facilities on the Lanai. Enjoy!

This is a Jewell at the Volcano. The price is amazing, the house is so cute, and the location perfect. One night is enough for this little spot in the middle of the volcano park.
I traveled around staying in hostels, and this place was a 5-Star place for us.
See the pictures and try yourself...

One word. Wow! The best secret in Volcano. We stayed in the Continental Lace Suite. Beautiful antique, victorian styled corner unit. The spacious bathroom has a elegant pedestal sink, chandelier, two-person jacuzzi tub. The unit was relaxing and had the ability to "take you away." So peaceful. Breakfast is included and hearty with three courses! For many years we have squeezed our vacation almost exclusively into a Kona experience and often times we still paid for our hotel in Kona while visiting Voclano. Then, when we reach Volcano, i search for the cheapest place i can find. I am aware that you always get what you pay for, but i don't really like sub-standard accomodations. I found that i was placing unrealistic expectations for my $65 budget. (silly, i know, it was just that i keep thinking about what i had already spent in Kona). Recently my wife convinced me that my reasoning was unfair to what Voclano CAN provide and to think above the $65 price. She was right (which i why i married her). We choose to do in Volcano what we would do in KONA. We reserved a unit that is comparable to what we normally reserve anywhere else in our travels. The Continental Lace at $250. I must say that i still don't like speding money anymore that the next guy, but in being honest with myself, i got the most out of my Volcano experience by doing so this time! Wow. So peaceful and homey with all the extra touches. In many ways unmattched with the commericalization found on the Kona side (where apparently most people have no problem dropped hundreds on rooms they wouldl't pay $99 for in Volcano. Strange and i was amongst that group recently. Do yourself a favor and realize why you are on VACATION, don't let your pocket book determine your experience, let your soul and spirit decide! The Continental Lace had cable tv/vcr, stereo sounds, vintage decorations, great hospitality, included 3 course breakfast, afternoon tea with awesome mac nut tarts by fireside, relaxing rainforest koi pond. No commercialization, ....not at any time did i feel "processed." And my psychology was more elevated that my previous visits to Volcano where my $65 lead me to book units that were against the purposes of my VACATION. Relax. I will definitely return!

We arrived at this B&B after a horseback riding tour with our rear ends soar and looking forward to a relaxing stay. We got it! We checked in and got a nice (yet very quick) tour of the grounds and the living room and...well that's about it since the rest is the kitchen and your room. We get a great explanation and map of the Volcano Village grounds along with a nice glass of fresh fruit juice b4 given our room key.

We stayed in the small but quaint "Africa" themed room and headed ddown the street to grab some snacks and wine at a local general store. After the wine on our lovely and peacefull baclony overlooing the grounds we jumped in the huge hot tub to relax our sore butts. It was great! We had the tub to ourselves and when we went to bed it was SOO comfortable! Don't worry that there is no Central AC bc the weather up at 3,000 ft is cool, even in the summer. In fact our portable fan we had in the corner of our room froze us in the middle of the night and had to turn it off.

The breakfast was very very good. I especially liked the Macedamia Nut Cinnamon Coffee (and Im not even a coffee drinker) and we had feta cheese omlets with fresh fruit and the next morning we had exceptional french toast w/ fresh bread and hawaiian syrups (including maple for mailanders' tastes). We stayed 2 nights and both breakfasts were 8-9 out of 10! The breakfast is completely filling as it's a 3 course one so be careful not to eat too much if you'r doing a lot of hiking (which is what we did).

Im pretty sure a few reviewers for this Bed & Breakfast have confused this place with another similar sounding named B&B in the same village bc of their descriptions of the grounds and service so don't be confused when reading the reviews. This place was great. And if you don't have unreasonable expectations like hand and foot service and unrealisticly bug-free grounds (it's the Rainforest People!) then you'll be absolutely pleased with your stay there!

If I had to give one complaint I guess it would be that the walls aren't that thick so you do hear a lot of rustling about in the morning but I mean......if you're staying at a B&B on vacation by the Volcano...then you need to be up and at em' before 9 am to see it all. I'll say it was VERY peacefull from sundown until at least 7 am.

Me and my girlfreind loved this stay completely and in fact kept saying the next day after our first night: "I can't wait to get back home" bc we really felt at home there! And the hot tub always helps! I can't speak for families staying (while there wa a family of 5 staying there when we were) but if this is a Honeymoon or just a relaxing get away vacation for you and your significant other.....you wont be dissapointed.

We stayed in the Treehouse Suite for the first two nights of our honeymoon and had an excellent experience. The accomodations were superb and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The treehouse suite is very large, with two floors and a massive bathroom/shower/jacuzzi, as well as a private deck.

The breakfast on both mornings was excellent. The first morning it was French Toast and the second a Feta-cheese omelet. Was it a gourmet meal? No, but it was exactly what you need to start your day of activities.

Volcano National Park is a short one mile drive and the town of Volcano with a few restaurants is only a half mile or so.

We definitely recommend staying here!
