Description: Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant, located in the quiet village of Volcano, sits on 5 acres of gardens and gazebos and native forest. This hotel restaurant features a large fireplace, local art, koa tables, and is open nightly. Chef/owner Albert Jeyte blends flavors from his European background with farm, ranch and seafood products from Hawaii, the surrounding Pacific and elsewhere. Volcano Village is at 3700 feet elevation and evenings are often cool and misty. The historic fireplace welcomes guests with it's cheery fire. Home made soups and breads tease the appetite. Albert specializes in unusual game...venison, antelope, rabbit, duck. The biggest sellers are local fish dishes; ahi, ono, mahimahi and the exotic Tristan lobster. A large wine list complements the eclectic menu.

My wife and I were very pleased to find out that the Kiluea Lodge provided gluten-free dining options. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. There was a good variety of choices on the menu.

There are not many places to eat dinner in Volcano, so make a reservation for this one. The restaurant is part of the lodge so they get not only regular patrons, but their hotel guests as well, and they fill up. The restaurant is large and lovely, and the menu is rather eclectic containing not only seafood and steak, but also hasenpfeffer and antelope, which I had and was very good. The service was delightful and the pricing fair for Hawaii. I would recommend this place for a nice dinner after a long day of fun on this interesting island.

The four of us ate at the Kilauea Restaurant twice as the first experience was so great and the second dinner did not disappoint. The appetizers and desserts were also amazing. highly recommend it.

Kilauea Lodge is the best restaurant in Volcano. The food is always outstanding in a very tasteful and beautiful setting. The staff is friendly and they have a full wine list. The Lilikoi Margaritas are the best on the island. For special occasions, my husband and I always select Kilauea Lodge. What a gem in our little community! We are residents of Volcano and bring our guests here as a special treat. Lorna nad Albert (the owners) run a first class establishment. You will not be disappointed!

We ate here 2 of our 3 nights in Volcano and wish we had eaten here all 3 nights! The food was delicious, from appetizers to desert. The coconut brie was wonderful and the antelope schnitzel was scrumptious. The deserts are different each night and each one we tried was amazing! Four of us were dining together and we tried to each order different things so we could taste as many of the menu selections as possible. Everything we ate was excellent! I highly recommend reservations, since this is by far the best place to have dinner in Volcano and they are usually packed.
