“Good organic and vegan options”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Set in a lovely art gallery near Volcano National park, this was a good find for our whole group. Nice homemade soup, great salad and sandwiches...everyone was happy. Very cheerful and helpful lady took good care of us, brought the exact ingredient list so the gluten free in the group could check everything out. Quite delicious...I would definitely return!

“Beautiful presentation, pleasant staff, tasty food, good coffee”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

What more can we say other than this was a very pleasant experience on a very rainy and dreary day. The "gallery" was crowded but the wait staff allowed us to put our name on the list for lunch and then came to find us. We had the soup and salad combination and their house coffee. The view of thier backyard was tranquil, even with the rain. The prices were very reasonable. It's too bad they didn't have more tables, although I think they may serve outside (when it's not raining). PS the gallery has many very interesting and unique items. a good way to spend your time browsing while waiting for the next table.

“Wonderful vegetarian cafe -and we are not vegetarians”
Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

We loved this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. They only serve lunch and we hoping to have dinner there as well. Everything was so fresh and grown on Hawaii. We both felt healthier after being there.

“Not at all bad for vegetarian.”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

I'm surprised at the recent reviews; we felt that it deserved its #1 rating -- in a village with only a half-dozen dining choices. We lunched on the vegetarian chili and the cheese/spinach quiche; both were tasty and filling. The waitress was very cordial, and gave us great directions to the thermal pools on the south-east shore. The attached gallery is stocked with some beautiful items, many made and/or designed by the equally cordial Mr. Ono. Don't forget to say "hi" to Ernest, the playful billy-goat in the back yard.
