View the crater from this museum. Great view of the crater. Also has much information about volcanoes inside and a nice gift shop inside. You must go again at night and view the glow of the crater from this viewing station. It was very busy the night we arrived. Not as busy during the day, but worth it to get a different view of the crater. It is very different day vs nighttime. Do not miss!

A snapshot and indepth experience at the same time, all about volcanoes. From the 6 year old child to the aged adult, there is something for everyone. Hands on and very well interpreted panels and exhibits. Allow about an hour for sure and go just before closing so you can take advantage of seeing the crater in the dark.

We went to the Jaggar Museum twice while visiting Volcano National Park. Great place to see where the activity is going on in the park and to view the volcano crater right outside. Great pictures at night.

If you didn't know much about volcanos, this is the place to visit! Very informative! The view of Kilauea from the museum was awesome, particularly at night! Take a flashlight!

The Center is informative and seeing the caldera so closely was awesome...a great place to see the gases and magna in the caldera at dusk or in the evening....turns vivid oranges and reds.
