“Interesting scenery, very clean and well kept.”

My husband and I took an excursion from our cruise ship to the park. Free to enter. Nicely maintained landscape with a concrete path loop through the park. Good signage. Beautiful scenery. Well worth the trip.

“Beautiful Rainforest Stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is a delightful gem of a park. The loop trail through the rainforest would be worthwhile even without the lava trees. Far from being disappointed at how "worn down" the lava trees are, we found them to be a beacon from the past and an eerie reminder of the power of "Pele". We had our lunch in one of the shelters on the trail and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the calming view. It's a totally delightful short stop.

“You can't see much of the lava "trees" but it's a nice walk.”

The lava "trees" have somewhat worn down over the years I think, but this is a really nice walk. We still enjoyed it.

“No frills but very quiet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

It's simply a nice park for a 30-minute stroll. Worth seeing if you're passing nearby, not really as a separate trip. It's greatest advantage is lack of people - we met maybe 3 people inside. Free.

“Pretty cool!”

A small attraction worth going to. Combine with going to see the lava. Never saw anything quite like that.
