“Very pleased, recommended by our Concierge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014

Had a fried chicken loco moco and a house salad with the house vinaigrette dressing and it was a nice twist on an old Hawaii favorite and a nice-sized portion. The service was top notch and I loved the atmosphere. This is the sort of place you see on the Food Network (and not Restaurant Impossible).

“Very cool!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

Had a fried chicken loco moco and a bacon and blue cheese burger. Took ages to order as they had a function booked so they served slowly. But the food was magnificent. Well done to owners for finding their calling and opening a very sweet diner. We would love to visit again and try some of the other dishes.

“What a surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2013

We arrived late at our accommodation and on the way saw this place so after we settled in we went there for dinner. And boy were we surprised.
First, there was a really great live band and the atmosphere was friendly and non-assuming. Don't expect 5-star shi-shi restaurant service, but we had absolutely no complaints either.
They don't have alcohol but allow you to bring -- which we didn't know.
It didn't matter, we had the best of time.
We ordered the kalbi ribs and ahi poke -- both specials. We were new to Hawaii and the local dishes, so we had no idea what to expect. The ribs were tender and amazing -- huge portion. The poke was fresh and flavourful -- also huge portion. Each came with salad or soup.
We actually ended up just eating the poke and took the ribs with us -- there were dinner next day!
Obviously, the food is not 5-star refined food, but even after two weeks in Hawaii and a lot more poke consumed, we looked back fondly at the place -- inviting, warm and just fun.
Oh, prices -- very reasonable. Our specials were around $12 each, but many menu items were a lot less. Great for families too.

“Love this dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

If you like a 50s diner... You're going to love this place. We stopped on the way to Jazz Fest and had burgers and fries. What a treat for the stomach and the eyes. Way fun at great prices with very good service. We will Definitely go here again.

The only problem is the parking there is none. Listen to me complaining about being in Hawaii!!! Just kidding. Make the stop you won't regret it.
