From the moment we walked into the Kona Boys shop to check in with Kelsey, we knew we were in good hands. The staff was knowledgeable, patient and had the routine totally down. From the shop we drove down to Kealakekua Bay, where we joined our guide Jared, got our kayaks in the water, and paddled across the bay to snorkel, have snacks, and hang out in the sun. The bay is closed to most operations, and private parties can't even land, in an effort to control use, wear and tear on the bay. Kona Boys earned the right to operate there, and I can see why: they have a strong respect for the land, for the wildlife, and for the people in their community.
They are definitely on our list for our next trip out.
