“Very friendly, knowledgeable staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

We stopped here only to rent snorkel equipment, and the young women helping us were fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help us have the best time possible while we were there. We ended up with some clothing, the snorkel gear, and great tips about where to go. Next time hopefully we will bring our own gear (as it's more convenient & cheaper), but we were glad we used the kona boys this time.

“A must do!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

After reading reviews I decided to try these guys out. They did not disappoint. Once you check in you meet your guide for your kayak tour a couple miles away. I loved kayaking across the bay to captains island. The snorkeling was the best I've been to on the island. They provided lunch and lots of great facts about the history. You can rent the kayaks and go on your own, but having a guide for the first time out was worth the extra cost.

“Guided Kayak - Snorkeling trip a MUST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

We had such a good time with Kona boys!
We went on the Kayak - Snorkeling trip with Jared and it was so worth it. Even though we have quite a bit of experience with kayaking it's still worth taking the guided tour. Jared was so knowledgeable! He told us lots about the history of the bay, marine life and funny anecdotes/ legends!

The bay was truly amazing: we were surrounded by pods of dolphins on our way to the Captain Cook monument and the water was extremely clear for snorkeling.

Lunch was included in the trip and I have to say even that was fund and educational, the food was amazing.

I would totally recommend Kona Boys to everyone!

“Wonderful and knowledgable staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2012

My brother and I rented two stand up paddleboards for the day and had an idea of where we were going to go. When we got to Kona Boys, Frank suggested somoe other areas we should check out. We are so glad we took Franks advice! We saw a ton of sea life and a pod of dolphins even swam right under my board! I cannot say enough about the staff. They were so friendly and helpful! I hope to visit the Big Island again soon and will definitely be back to visit Frank and crew to rent some more equipment! Mahalo Kona Boys!
