We took the Volcano tour with Warren and we loved it! He showed us several great spots that were "off then beaten path" and had great knowledge of the island and the wildlife. We had a great lunch overlooking the ocean and he also took us by a popular surf spot and to a beautiful waterfall. Great tour!

Our group of six adults spent an entire day with Warren who took us throughout the park, which included:

- a walk through a lava tube
- a hike over a lava flow to the edge of a crater
- lunch overlooking the 70's lava flow and the ocean
- a stroll over a flow that still has pieces of road visible
- we stood on the edge of the flow at the ocean and could scan the rugged coast line for miles
- wandered to a lookout over an active volcano
- a short walk through some scrub to a steam vent

And what made the tour really great was that we left with a deeper understanding of volcanos and how the environment grows with the island. Warren is a incredibly knowledgable guide with a calm and friendly demeaner. I've taken tours all over the world and this was one of the best.

Good to know:

- good walking/hiking shoes are important on this tour as lava can be very rugged
- if you food issues/concerns let him know in advance
- you don't need to be in great shape to do this tour but do need to be able to walk in 80 degree weather for an hour at a time
- depending on the weather of the day, it can get cool at the top of the volcano so bring a light jacket

Warren Costa, Native Guide Hawaii, provided a great tour...lunch included. He was knowledgeable on Volcano National Park and the local plants, etc and great with kids. He took us to places I never would've dreamed of venturing to. The highlight was our exploration of a lava tube off the beaten path. The tour wasn't cheap, but it was money well spent. That was the consensus of the whole family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

This was an amazing tour. Warren took us around the Volcano park for the day, and my wife an I loved every minute of it. He was informative and attentive to our needs. Snacks and lunch were great. And he tool us to spits we never would have found on our own. I highly recommend Native Guide for any of the tours. With limitted time on the island, I feel we squeezed every ounce of fun out of the park with Warren's help. I will definitely give Warren a call for another tour when we make another visit.

We spent a day with Warren as our guide to Volcano National park on the Big Island of Hawaii. He is the most outstanding guide and our trip would not have been the same without him. We travelled as 2 families with teenage kids. Warren kept each of us enthralled at the marvels around us. He is able to judge everyone's needs and expectations effectively and communicates his knowledge and love of the park in a really interesting way. If you are visiting Volcano National Park, you must see it with Warren. He shows all the sights that you need to see as well as those off the beaten track. The larva tubes and steam vents were remarkable. He provides lunch and transportation. We met him inside the park. He is able to reach all levels of fitness or ability. He even provided the most outstanding lunch for our bunch of picky eaters. We highly recommend you see this park with Warren otherwise your visit will not be complete. It's a once in a lifetime experience! You need a full day with him and because this is a high rainfall area, bring raincoats or umbrellas.
