This place should be in a dinners drive inns and dives. A locals place that needs to be visited by visitors. The food is awesome and quick. Had the Hawaiian loco, which is rice, hamburger patties, egg, onions and gravy. It is so good. You can't finish it. The rice was 8 dollars for food that will stick to your ribs for six hours. The staff are awesome and funny. Had a waiter that kept quarters in his ear to remind him that he had to buy then paper. Went twice to this place, because the food is that good.

Good ole' American Style Food at this Hawaiian Style Cafe!! I ordered Ham, Eggs over well, and Hash Browns. And it came out with the biggest pancake ever!! The food was delicious and very plentiful - had to ask for a "to go" box. Cash only, but it was worth every penny (and not many pennies were required!) We were in Waikola, but the drive to Waimea was worth it. Would return if we ever get back to the Big Island!! The Smiths of Knoxville

This is a cash only establishment. However, you don't need much cash to get a lot of food! The breakfast plate my husband and I shared had two HUGE pancakes, 3 eggs, lots of bacon, and hashbrowns. It was about $9. They do charge a split fee, but if you order a side, they waive the fee. We ordered an additional egg and the fee was waived. The food was great and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. It is a small place, so you might have to wait. We sait at the counter rather than wait for a table.

We both had rice dishes with gravy... Husband had beef with egg n onion and I had the fried chicken with onions. I can't eat egg yolks so they substituted with bacon! They were happy to accommodate! Sam and Kathy, our servers, were super friendly and hilarious! We came back twice on our trip and would recommend it as a great breakfast stop as we were filled to nearly dinner time and we could barely make a dent in our servings. They do have Half portions too. Price is great. Lots to choose from on the menu too. The pancakes looked popular too. Yummy!

Somewhat quaint but... average food (large portions, but there's more to food than quantity folks...), nice server. That's about it... won't rush back.
