We really never planned to eat here, but we were driving back to the coast from Mauna Kea at 9 pm and were desperate to find a place to have dinner. Called several places - everything was already closed or closing. And somebody was so kind to recommend The Red Water Cafe. It turned to be one of the best dinners we had on the Big Island. We were sat at the bar, and surely had a chance to get engaged into conversations with the locals. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared and served on the highest level. This place is serving food that could be served at an upscale restaurant. Minus white tablecloths plus fun local experience.
