We went on a Tuesday and had a great time. The food takes a while so have a drink and relax. The town seems to roll-up the streets at 6 pm but there was live music, several locals and a fun atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly but the one waitress was a bit overwhelmed. That didn't stop her from smiling and giving great service. Our tab for three with sodas and a huge pizza was $23! In Hawaii, that is unheard of. I wouldn't recommend dinner with small children. Just get the pizza to go. We will be back!

We visited The Landing after seeing it while on the road. It was the only restaurant open in Honokaa that we passed. Our waitress was so confused and distracted she must have either just received the worst news of her life or was drunk or on drugs. Not kidding. We ordered the bread sticks with cheese and chips/salsa for pupus, and the Greek salad, the Burger, and the BLT for entrees. We never tried the burger or BLT. After 20 minutes of nothing we were ready to leave some cash for our drinks and leave. We waited a few more minutes and our salads and the chips came out. When we inquired about the bread sticks she mumbled "Oh, well they take a long time to make.", so we cancelled them. The Greek salad was amazing. it was incredibly fresh and very tasty. The tortilla chips were warm and also fresh, but a minute later the waitress came back to tell us that "they didn't have bacon", so no BLT. We ate the salads and decided to leave. When we cancelled the burgers she went to the next table where we overheard her offer our hamburger buns to a customer because we didn't want them. We didn't stick around to hear if the patron took her up on that.

This was an unexpected stop. From street side it isn't much to look at and the rough interior might make you think of leaving. Thank goodness we didn't! This local joint has a professional pizza chef from NYC. He takes pride in his cooking ,using locally sourced ingredients of the freshest nature, and daily made dough. Steve was a delight and this is a superb stop to watch football and feast. Thank you Steve we were all spoiled by your friendliness and generosity

It is the only bar in Honokaa. Had great pizza, nice staff and was open for football bright and early. Has local brews on tap and next door to Honokaa Club and the People Theater.
